Pool was closed. Booked for this reason. Yes it’s on website, but would be nice to be informed via email of this. Got sent luckily to sister hotel to use pool and spa free. We had fairly new room which was nice and receptionist was nice . Generally okay, but revenevation should be informed of before to current guests. Pool area also smelly

Liked: Cleanliness
We stayed for one night , the staff we nice but there’s a lack of them , mainly at the bar area , the room was clean and tidy but the bed was hard as rock and the people in room next to us where noisy (not the hotels fault ) the gardens and views around them are amazing
Stayed here for 1 night as it was the closest to the Harry Potter studio tour. Had no problem with the hotel itself. Check in was easy and the bed was comfy. Some things in the hotel could do with updating but it's nothing drastic. The only thing that let us down about the stay is some of the people that were staying there. Not sure what was going off but think someone might of hired one of the rooms out for someone's birthday, which I don't have a problem with. What I did have a problem with is them returning to their rooms early hours in the morning slamming doors open and talking/shouting really loud. This obviously kept me and my partner up for majority of the night/morning as it happened on a number of occasions.
This isn't the hotels fault of course and if it wasn't for this it would of been a pleasant stay. Me and my partner just ended up leaving really early as we had enough.
In the end we did not stay
Staff ignored us at check in looking after someone who arrived after us
Went to room which has black mould on the blinds, paint was peeling on ceiling, chipped paint on doors and stains on the carpet
So we went back to reception who told us they had no others room and offered us a refund
So we left very disappointed as it was our wedding anniversary which was ruined
Even more disappointing is we have heard nothing from the hotel in the way of an apology
The photos make the hotel look amazing, it’s not. The photos that they use are based on the Manor House and the actual hotel is very very basic.
The room was very small, the bathroom hadn’t been very well kept. It was a lot of money for what we got.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Hotel grounds are lovely, The room itself was fairly clean but the window walls and curtains were full of mould
Lovely hotel but the King bed was a small double.
Other guests were complaining about the bed size too. Never ever been a king bed in those rooms!
Shame as Breakfast was nice and staff seemed friendly.
