"We absolutely loved staying at Agnati Villas - the pool was gorgeous - a great temperature with a beautiful view. The location near the town is great (make sure to have a car!) and still close enough to Heraklion. There were plenty of beds and the layout of the houses/villas was great for a large group. We were welcomed with fruit which was lovely. While the kitchen is well equipped with plates, utensils, crockery, etc note that there are no soaps, shampoos, laundry detergent or any of that...

"Wish I could have rated my stay at the Diouskouri. Our reservation was made over two days in advance of our attempted check in. After many phone calls to the manager who was somewhere in Iraklion while we were in the hotel lobby, we were told to check in at the hotel down the road. The substitute hotel lacked hot water, a decent internet connection and one of the main ceiling lights didn't work. The substitute hotel was not a three star but we paid three star rates. Not a repeat."

"We had an incredible stay at Villas Anenomilos. we stayed for one week however could have stayed a lot longer. The facilities at the villa are perfect, you have everything you need. The sunset each night was amazing. We rented a vehicle but the local taxi company was also very reliable whenever we needed it, despite there being 18 of us. There are beautiful beaches nearby with bars and restaurants. Our host was very friendly and let us stay beyond the normal check out time as we had a late...

"Four of us had a lovely stay in this property. We had everything that we needed, beds were comfortable, area was quiet (we were out of season). As it was April we paid extra for pool heating but that meant we could use the pool everyday, which we did. The view is stunning and we all enjoyed looking across the sea from the sun loungers in the afternoon. It was a real pleasure to be in such a nice villa for five days."

"1st of all i would like to say that the owners Antonis and Anastasia were brilliant, nothing to small or too big if we had an issue or needed advise on where to eat, go etc. The welcome package from the owners is brilliant to, so you have the basics straight away and dont have to stress for milk, bread beer etc straight away. "The owners have thought of everything and make sure you have it. Wonderful home, wonderful location with the beach at your door and your own yard to enjoy the outdoor kitchen/ lounge and pool. The kids will love the play set and toys if they tire of the sand. Stay here! Only word of advice is don’t try to leave on a Friday-Saturday-or Sunday for dinner elsewhere because you will have trouble coming back and finding parking. Besides the food is great at the tavernas only a few steps away."
