"Maria cares deeply about your visit and responds to any need. The house is wonderful with a lovely fruit and vegetable garden in the backyard. It is a very short 3 minute walk to the center of the beach and our favorite taverna, Mythos. There was a reserved parking place for our rental car at all times. The outdoor shower was fantastic. I highly recommend this property and hope to visit again!"

"We had a lovely stay. It was end of season and the resort was only half full, they were also closing a day early so had arranged our transfer to another hotel at no cost to ourselves. In addition because of this we were upgraded. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. This was really useful when arranging days out (make sure you have cash!). "Wish I could have rated my stay at the Diouskouri. Our reservation was made over two days in advance of our attempted check in. After many phone calls to the manager who was somewhere in Iraklion while we were in the hotel lobby, we were told to check in at the hotel down the road. The substitute hotel lacked hot water, a decent internet connection and one of the main ceiling lights didn't work. The substitute hotel was not a three star but we paid three star rates. Not a repeat."

"Oct 2019. We arrived late evening and the man on the desk, was not very kind to us, very rude. Had to email a copy of booking to reception to prove who we was. The rest of reception staff was very good during our 2 weeks stay. Our room was located near the main road right at bottom of the steps.
