"This hotel is fine for the price. There isn't much to do in Alleppey outside of the houseboat tours, so choice of location wasn't really an issue. The hotel was clean and staff were helpful. The rooms were very small, but we were only there for one night, so it wasn't a major inconvenience. My only real complaint was the WiFi, which was terrible and never worked in the room. "After a bumpy local bus from Erakleum we were happy to wonder around Aleeppy town and eventually arrived at Bamboo lagoon reception counter. What happens next we cannot say... much laughter... "At first instance it seems to be little orthodox and unsafe at night for lonely couple. However, atmosphere is eclectic. Property is well maintained housing good restaurant, swimming pool, rooms with AC and wooden furniture and walls. Open bathroom is its uniqueness. Hotel reception is quite helpful in booking auto to ferry to city center as the resort is little away from the town. "

OYO has a deal with a hotel called the Arcadia, where I guess they resell a certain number of rooms, but when you book here you're actually looking for The Arcadia.
