"The hotel is in a great location. Ian was an excellent host very friendly and made a great breakfast. The self check in and tablets in the room to order works really well. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit Windermere/Bowness 👍"

"Though we encountered some hiccups with the water-heating unit, with help from Mike and his mum it worked out fine. They were very helpful and attentive to my every need, and went above and beyond in their efforts. I am so grateful. "
"The staff here are friendly, welcoming and very knowledgable about the area. Check in was smooth, lovely big room with hot tub, gorgeous breakfast, comfy bed to name but a few positives. The only slight negative and I emphasis slight - room 2 ground floor can get quite noisy outside due to customers coming and going for breakfast. However this would not put me off and would definitely return. Parking limited."
"Beautifully clean and tastefully decorated. Central location. Easy walk into the village or down the private access lane to the lake. Badgers are regular visitors as well as red squirrels. "
"Hotel as described. 10 minutes walk into Grasmere. Free parking, although I doubt enough if hotel at capacity. Bus stop outside. Breakfast was nice & plenty of options. We had dinner one evening and it was good & good value.
Dog friendly, in fact Luna felt bery welcome!
We decline one days room clean in exchange for a couple of free drinks, that was a nice idea and encoraged reuse of towels etc
All in all great stay"
"A good stay.
Nice crisp linen. Could do with an extra pillow, i will take mine on my next visit to YHA.
