"Breakfast was a great start to the day. Good selection of foods and coffee, tea, etc. Lovely hotel, awesome location overlooking the castle. Room comfortable and clean. And peacocks! Would definitely recommend and stay here again. It is up the hill in the historic area, so best for those who like to walk. "

"We love to walk and so the location of this hotel was superb. Walking up and down the cobblestone narrow streets was a definite workout but worth the experience. The only possible downside is that you must be a resident or taxi driver to drive to the hotel from the top of the street. We simply took a taxi with our luggage to our car rental place after our beautiful stay. "

"We had a fantastic stay! The airport shuttle was perfect and our host was amazing at helping us plan tours and with everything we needed. It was so convenient to the whole Alfama region. The bed was super comfortable. I could’ve used a dresser or a rack to put our suitcases on. We ended up using the little table to dump everything, including our toiletries on."

"Spacious bathroom, kitchen with top stove, microwave and tea cattle. Rich bath towels and the amazing hospitality of the receptionist and the fact that they stored our luggage until check in time. I only would like to provide better instructions of how to access the place when you arrive earlier than reception hours because we arrived around 9:30am and didn’t know what to do to store the luggage until the cleaning lady opened for us when we kept knocking on the door "
