"What’s not to love? This wonderful hotel is inside the castle walls! The service we received from the moment we arrived was excellent. We were offered the breakfast upon arrival and our bags were waiting in our room once we returned from a full day of sightseeing. My only regret is not booking another night. Only a taxi can provide door to door service, so if you have heavy luggage, arrange for their efficient pick up or get a taxi. It’s a steep climb up! Highly recommend! "

"Loved Hotel Convento do Salvador and would highly recommend but don't walk to or from hotel with luggage as it's extremely hilly and uneven cobblestone roads... Our view of Tagus River was amazing "

"We could not check in to our apartment until 4pm so stayed at this hotel after our plane landed early morning until 12 noon. The hotel went above and beyond to assist us including permitting us to store our suitcases with them for the day. Really impressed!"

"Daniel was so helpful even before we arrived in Lisbon and very welcoming after a long delay at the airport. The rooms are very small and a little tired but spotless, a very comfortable bed and the best power shower ever! A little more storage would be welcome but other than that, a fab place to stay. For the price, we thought Santa Luzia was perfect for our long weekend in this fabulous city. Lots of lovely places within a short walk for the best breakfasts (they do them well in Lisbon!) and a great location within Alfama. "
