A few niggles
This was our tenth visit to Armona and we love the island. We were disappointed with the welcome we received from the person appointed to show us to the house. Our polite enquiries regarding the gas stove and the working of the television were met with incredulity that we could not instantly master their workings. The house needed some work eg the kitchen tap was unstable, only three out of the four gas rings were usable and the roof terrace lights did not work so we could not use it at night.

Beautiful Armona - again!
A beautiful setting for this lovely house. Very convenient for the limited number of shops, restaurants and the beach, with a roof terrace for dawdling over breakfast and watching the sunset

House is perfectly located on Armona island. On beach front. Ideal position to watch sunsets. House is well equipped. Roof terrace and BBQ. Owners communicate well. Good value for money.

My second happy stay 😊
With 3 disabled oldies, we needed a property close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The house has it all as well as 2 bathrooms and 2 very user friendly showers. It’s a short walk to the sea which is perfect for all. As avid bird watchers, we were thrilled to see loads from the house and the upstairs balcony.

We had a fantastic trip to Armona. The house was clean and basic but perfectly situated for the kids to run out onto the beach. We would happily stay again.

Always a pleasure
I have stayed on Armona a few times over last 7-8 years and this is my favourite house. Location from ferry great, as not too far to walk with suitacses/ bags etc but very private. Roof terrace a lovely bonus.

Great few days in Trish’s home. Beds were very comfortable and the ceiling fans helped in August. Location of the house is great with easy access to the beach and to the restaurants and shops. Kitchen quite functional and basic so not ideal If you want to cook, but bbq was perfect!

Amazing place
Armona Island is a fantastic place for family's with children. The house is cosy with an amazing view of the sea. Love to drink coffee on the terrace on the roof. Quiet place. Highly recommended!

Armona
The property in question on Armona is the perfect definition of a beach house. The island is a gem, cut off from the mainland , with all it's traffic, hustle and bustle that we expect of the Algarve. Long walks along almost deserted beaches, and friendly local restaurants, make this the perfect place to enjoy the Portuguese October sunshine. Summer will be busier of course, but the closeness of the beaches and the absence of traffic would make this a great place for families.

Family holiday
We had a wonderful holiday at this property. The Island is a true gem and the house is a perfect place to explore it. Trisha's beach house is really lovely and in a perfect location on the island, really just steps from the beach and also very close to the ferry, shops and cafés. The house itself is very clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to book to go back next year!!

Calm & Relaxing
We stayed for 10 wonderful days. The property met all of expectations & would even say it went beyond them. We had a cup of tea on the beach, then breakfast on the roof terrace every day They island is beautiful, but became busy at weekends. We tried all the restaurants, but A4 roof top was our favourite. What a beautiful beach house, has everything you can think of for your stay and very comfortable
This house is perfect, right on the beach and the view from roof terrace is stunning. Watching the tide come and go in the morning with your coffee and in the evening it's perfect for watching the sun set with a glass of Portuguese Rose

Our stay at The Beach House Armona
We had a great holiday which was on the beautiful island of Armona. The Beach house was a little disappointing on arrival as we had the impression that it would be front line to the beach. It certainly had a sea view from the lounge patio doors and access to the beach from there. The bonus was the roof terrace which was a great advantage as suitable for sunbathing etc. The property was adequate but a few items not working but our visit at the end of season could explain this. Some beds if used by adults were not comfortable and the general condition could be improved. The lady looking after the property was superb and very helpful. Th owners were very accommodating also..

We had a fantastic time in a lovely house on a beautiful island. We met some lovely people but mostly had the most relaxing holiday. Due to the tide the stunning views over the bay were constantly changing and the sunsets were outstanding. We found the quality of food in the restaurants excellent but we also enjoyed a few nights in with the barbeque. We have already booked a return visit which says it all

A LITTLE PIECE OF HEAVEN
The house is light and airy with fantastic views from the roof terrace. We spent a lot of time beach combing and making friends at the Armona 4 where they serve lovely meals and cold drinks. The people are very friendly. The lagoon is not to be missed. A lovely peaceful place to stay.

The house was very clean when we arrived, and the location is perfect.
The island is beautiful with lots of little secret hideaways to discover. We came with our children, who spent most of the time in the lagoon chasing the fish and crabs. The beaches are spotlessly clean and the bars and shops relative cheap. The house, in particular the roof terrace, is superb. Getting up early to watch the sunrise with a cup of tea and a book was probably the best part of my holiday. Communication leading up to, and during, our stay with the owners has been very positive and swift. This wasn't the first time I've stayed in this house, and it absolutely won't be the last time either!

PERFECT location of this well equipped house - wonderful vacation
Booking went great, good communication with the nice owners Trisha and Mike. The island is just wonderful for a laid back vacation. Delicious food (fish & seafood) everywhere, convenient and friendly day to day shopping on the island itself. Fantastic beaches, awesome swimming and running along the deserted beach. Excellent location right on the beach

Very relaxing holiday
Lovely house in a great location on Armona. This was our 2nd time in this house. Romina is very welcoming and house is clean. Excellent communication with Trish and Mike when we needed too. The only thing I would change is to have some cleaning products at the house so we could properly clean up during our stay and when we left.

Disappointing stay at an overpriced house
On arrival at 11pm the beds were unmade and deficient of linen, the hospitality was poor, 1 dirty cloth, 1 dirty tea towel and 1 small towel per person. The sink was leaking and there was a gas leak under the hob. The house was not clean and the shower had sand left in it from the previous tenant. With the four of us that were staying here we had only 1 fork, 1 spoon, 1 plate and one, 1 blunt knife, each. Needless to say we will not be returning to stay at this house again.

It is unfortunate that this guest have given the house this sort of bad review as we did not have any communication during this guests stay other than when they used the hob they smelt gas which was immediately checked and no leak was found. We always take before and after photographs to show the condition of the house and unfortunately after this guest left we had to email them to advise that the house required a deep clean due to the dirty condition that it had been left. We certainly would not recommend this guest to other property owners.

Beautiful location, lovely house
We had a great stay here. Lovely house in a great location. 5 mins walk from ferry and bars. Peaceful and quiet but was end of April. House has everything you need and next to the beach. Great communication with owners who were really helpful. Already looking when we can go back.

Armona Island Beach House
House was amazing, excellent location right on the beach. Great BBQ / outside eating area and of course the roof terrace was ideal for watching the sun go down. 2 minute walk to the jetty for the ferry to Olhao and the various bars and restaurants and shop. If I was ever to return to Armona Island, (hopefully this will happen!), then this is the place I would want to stay. The island itself was beautiful, and at the time we went, late Sept/ Oct, it was quieter and also weather not as hot - still a great 25 degrees+, so just right! Having Alison & Derek just round the corner was a bonus, anything we needed help with they were more than happy to help - a lovely couple. All in all a great holiday, the week went far too quickly!

Nice house in a beautiful island
Nice apartment, just as described, clean and well maintained. Especially nice large bathroom and shower area. -right on the beach facing inland, about 20 minutes pleasant stroll to the Atlantic beach. -Alison gave us prompt help when we had problems with the wifi - thanks! -Armona is beautiful, the Atlantic beach is truly idyllic. -Air conditioning would have been nice - it was 35 degrees in the day. However we enjoyed the roof terrace at night- it was comparatively cool. -Also, an added bonus - no mosquitoes in the house!

Trisha's beach house on Armona is really lovely and in a perfect location on the island, just steps from the beach and very close to the ferry, The house itself is very comfy and nicely decorated throughout. We really enjoyed our stay there and have already booked to go back next year!!

Tolle Lage
Hat alles (Buchung, check in, usw) super geklappt. Die Lage ist top und das Haus hat eine sehr schöne Dachterrasse, was eher selten ist. Die Inneneinrichtung ist jedoch in die Jahre gekommen und die Betten sind etwas klein. Alle Geräte die man braucht sind vorhanden. Allerdings haben wir keine TV-Sender gefunden, lediglich Youtube. Wir kommen gerne mal wieder.

Sympathische Insel....Buchung in € inseriert, in £ abgerechnet (30€ Gebühren)
Leider war man nicht ganz auf uns vorbereitet. Anstatt uns in das Objekt einzuführen wurde aufgeschlossen und fertig. In der Küche klebte alles, kein Spüllappen vorhanden, auch die Dusche war nicht einladend. Ausserdem war der Sitzplatz am benutzten und verschmutzten Grill ziemlich zugewachsen. Der Boden im Haus war allerdings war sehr sauber. Auf der Dachterasse ist es interessant, leider hat es keinen Sonnenschirm/Schatten, es ist also brutzelheiss, schade, wir wären gerne länger dort geblieben und hätten die Sonnenliegen benutzt... Es wird von Waschmaschine und Trockner geschrieben, es gibt aber nur die Waschmaschine ohne Anleitung, da neu, und ohne Waschmittel. In dem Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett gibt es überhaupt keinen Kleiderschrank, nur ein paar Aufhänger an der Wand. Die Betten waren mittelmässig, in dem einen Singlebett merkte man die Unterlage. Alles in allem aber haben wir uns selbst geholfen, Verschiedenes einfach gekauft oder saubergemacht und konnten so die Tage im Oktober auf der um die Zeit sehr ruhigen Insel geniessen. Der Strand zum Atlantik raus ist 3km entfernt, fast direkt vor dem Haus kann man aber die Boote beobachten und auch im "Fährwasser" baden.

Wonderful Week
The location is great - a few steps from Armona-Ria beach, in a quiet place and not far from cafes and mini markets. Fantastic view from the terrace. The house is spacious, well decorated and the bathrooms are very good. It has everything needed for cooking. The cleanliness of the exterior and terrace needs to be improved and one of the mattresses in the first double bedroom needs to be changed as the springs can be felt.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le séjour sur cette île particulièrement reposante. La maison de Trisha est très agréable, notamment en raison des deux terrasses qui permettent de profiter d'une vue imprenable tout au long de la journée. Trisha a été très compréhensive et arrangeante lors de notre premier contact. La communication lors du séjour a été légèrement plus compliquée en raison d'un problème avec les clés, mais cela n'enlève en rien nos très bonnes appréciations de cette semaine à Armona !

Great location, inventory needs improvement
All what is written in other reviews is true. The location of the house is really great. Close to the Ria beach. Atmosphere on the island is fantastic. The house is cosy and fully equipped. What gave us mixed feelings was that the inventory left much to be desired in many places. We offered to indicate what was wrong, but there was not much interest in this. Most dangerous thing we had was a glued-on wing of a ceiling fan that came down. Fortunately, the fan was not running. I don't want to think what would have happened if the fan had been running at full speed. The washing machine was unusable and no alternative offered. Showering with occasional hot water. Outside bench looks fantastic on the photos, but unfortunately now so dirty that you don't dare sit on it. 2 outside chairs and 1 inside chair that you can sink through at any moment and unfortunately this was not all. We tried to be as little as possible bothered by the defects and so we still had a fantastic time at Armona. Thank you very much for staying at your house.

Nice stay at Ilha da Armona
The house is nice and spacious, 100m from the river beach and 15mins walk from the sea beach. Although we had a few issues with the utilities, they were always reaolved quickly by the host.
