This is a nice hotel, but in my opinion it needs a few more things to make it a more pleasant place to stay.
On the plus side, this is a quiet hotel just steps from the busy center of Lagos, with clean rooms and a beautiful setting. You can take an easy walk (10 minutes or so) to one small beach, but if you keep walking (20 minutes more) you get to some of Lagos’s most stunning beaches. Restaurants, bars, and stores are all nearby.
On the negative side, the room we stayed it (a suite called Poco) was very expensive (almost $400 per night) but not very livable. There was no dresser to put stray clothing in, no closet, very dim lighting, and no decent sitting area other than the bed. There are no coffee makers in the rooms, and since breakfast is not served until 8:00 AM if you happen to wake up earlier than that and need a coffee you are really out of luck. There is no gym.
Another con is the breakfast, which we paid for as part of our room rate. First of all, they don’t start serving it until 8:00, which is a long time to wait if you happen to want to get your day started. Then, when you go there at 8:00, it takes about 20 minutes to order and about another 30 minutes to get any food. Too slow. They will also provide one cup of coffee and then charge you 3.50 Euro if you want another one. And then even charged for water!
