This is a truly charming property in a great central location in Alnwick.
This is a truly charming property in a great central location in Alnwick. Easy walking distance to interesting shops, pubs, restaurants and the main attractions of Alnwick town plus convenient drive to the best of Northumberland. The lovely welcome pack included wine, tea, coffee and milk. The property is thoughtfully decorated and a real pleasure to hang out in. Would definitely book again if staying in the area.

This is an absolutely fabulous base from which to explore the wonderful town of Alnwick and the surrounding countryside and coast. The house is a magnificent grade II listed Georgian stone terraced with great size rooms and facilities. Internally there are loads of original features, fireplaces, staircase and a traditional period bathroom. Perfect for dogs and just a few minutes walk into the centre of town, we couldn't have asked for more.

Had a lovely time thanks.
Had a lovely time thanks. Cottage is all we could have wished for. Perhaps it was a little dark at night making reading a book difficult, a reading light would have been an advantage. Enjoyed the cottage and enjoyed our time in Northumberland.

Very clean and tidy house well equipped for a pleasant stay for a few days.
Very clean and tidy house well equipped for a pleasant stay for a few days. Perfectly located 5 mins walk away from the independent shops, pubs and cafes in the town centre. Lots of quirky alleyways and buildings to enjoy on the way. It's a victorian style house with an old world and original feel in its decor and furnishings. The whole area has lots of interest. Parking on the street right outside the doorstep is not a problem. Only down side is that the varnished staircase can be a bit tricky if you're a "senior" not used to stairs and we disnt find the sofas too comfortable.
We had a great week staying in this lovely cosy house in the heart of Alnwick.
The house is comfortable and stylish, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Very warm in a cold November. We made use of the fire on a couple of evenings which was great.
We were a couple but there is plenty of room for four.
Bed was very comfortable and lots of space for clothes etc. The bathroom was also good - nice shower and lovely to have a bath as well for a soak after long walks!
Kitchen had everything you could need (apart from a cafetière!).
We had a lovely week exploring this beautiful area - went to Cragside, Hulne Park, Alnwick gardens, Lindisfarne, Craster (yummy kipper pate from the SmokeHouse and great crab sandwiches and kipper scotch eggs in the Jolly Fisherman), Dunstaburgh castle, boat trip to see the seals on the Farne islands and lots of beautiful walks.
We also went out in the evenings in Alnwick and had nice meals at the Market Tavern, Mumbai Flavours and Thai Vibe (specially recommend this place). And we had lovely homemade pies from Turnbulls and excellent fish and chips from Carlo’s.
Thoroughly recommend the house, Alnwick and the area as a whole.
