"We had a lovely stay at the Oaks. The staff were all very helpful, and the food was delicious in the bar in the evening, and the breakfast was also great! The car park was always busy, but we were always able to find a space."

The Tavern - Steakhouse and Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"Great location and comfortable bed. No air con but fan provided. Canned water in the fridge a good touch. Check in was easy and shown to the room. Check out was a little more uncertain so left the keys on the bar (nobody there) so maybe ask if this was the right thing to do or not. Small issue: Door to bathroom (room 1) quite stiff and needed a strong push which older users may find difficult. Bit of sandpaper on the door to correct. Could do with blackout curtains but thats just personal preference."

"The granary room was beautiful except that it was 30° during the day and so very hot. The unseasonably hot weather is hardly the owners fault, but perhaps some kind of fan system to bring in cooler air at night would be a good investment."
