"The lodge was good, breakfast was nice, and the staff were friendly. The only downside was the entrance, straight off the A1. No slip road made it difficult to slow down enough to get in without missing the entrance which I did the first night and had to go up to the next road to turn around and try again, plus it’s terrible try to cross over the A1. "

"The property itself and the host and hostess were fabulous. The room was quiet and had everything we needed. It was walkable into Alnwick. The only problem is the back path from the house into Alnwick is rough and very uneven and is not lit. I have mobility issues and we made it both nights without any issues however I would have liked an easier walk. "
