We had a relaxing 3 night stay with Carolyn. Lovely bedroom with large en-suite bathroom in a peaceful, rural location. We enjoyed the breakfasts as well as Carolyn’s home cooked evening meals, both of which gave lots of choice. We didn’t want to leave! Thank you Carolyn 🙏

Rockmoor House was a lovely place to stay - about 6 miles from Alnwick. The room was large and very comfortable. The bed was massive and really comfy. There was a wide variety of options for breakfast, which was excellent

We stayed here for two nights to attend a nearby wedding. The accommodation was lovely. Large spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. Carolyn was very welcoming and went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Breakfast was superb, nothing was too much trouble. Disturbed on some nights, noise and shouting from other parts of the Farmhouse!! Close to Alnwick. Also my wife was allergic to the family cat 🐈‍⬛

A actual country house. Only 5 guest rooms. The property is just gorgeous and very well maintained. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were top notch. Breakfast was delicious. It was a true experience, highly recommend if you can get a reservation.

We were well looked after by members of staff. Breakfasts were really good with excellent choice. Bedroom was of a good size with good wardrobe & drawer space. The lower area of shower externally was not very clean!

The room was clean. For the price of the room, the tea and coffee making facilities were very poor. A nice biscuit would have made it better. Breakfast was good. Plenty of choice.

this is a lovely property tucked away off the main A1 road about 10 minute drive from Alnwick. On arrival we didn't feel the greeting from the host was in any way personable so that was not a good first impression. we were told on arrival the breakfast starts at 8 and ends at 9.30 ; ourselves and another couple were down at 8.15 and the cereal choices were all out but no milk or hot drinks and the host finally appeared at arounds 8.25 and seemed surprised we were already there? After that the hot drinks and cooked food choices were swiftly taken and two more couples appeared and it seemed as though the staff were not fully prepared but once everything arrived the quality of the breakfast was very good but again no personal conversation about how we slept; did we find somewhere to eat the previous evening etc. and for a house with only 5 guest rooms i expected more personal interaction. Our room was clean and pleasant and the bed and very comfy and very quiet; the light / shaver pointover the sink in the shower room didnt work which was a minor inconvenience. These niggles made this a 3-4 star stay as opposed to 5.
