The Amalfi Coast is a rugged coastal area, with ancient ruins, towns, villages and vineyards crowning the rocks. Villas and churches sit on cliffs, beside sheer drops straight into the sea. Travel the coastal roads and round every bend on the 45-kilometer coastal road you’ll encounter yet another spectacular view.
The Amalfi Coast has enjoyed a reputation as an exclusive residence for the wealthy and famous. As such, you will find exclusive bars, restaurants and hotels, but that doesn’t mean the area doesn’t cater for the budget traveller too, with plenty of charming bed & breakfasts on offer.
For most visitors relaxation is at the top of the list. The beaches are narrow, popular and often very busy. The coastline is dotted with small coves, which are usually difficult to reach from land, but are great to explore by boat.
Along the coastline there are many hiking trails to be followed, where you can explore the region’s unique nature. One of the most popular and least strenuous is the "Path of the Gods' - all you need is a good pair of walking shoes!
Want some natural beauty with a little less effort? Then the gardens of Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo are perfect. Stroll leisurely through the terraced gardens, which have been constructed high above the sea. The gardens are filled with thousands of flowers and offer beautiful views of the coastline below.
Beautiful property with bar and exquisite restaurant on site. The breakfast buffet was also a lovely amenity. Above all it was wonderful to see the same staff day over day and get to know them. All went above any beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.
We loved everything about our stay at the Marincanto. The hotel was clean and beautiful, in a great location with amazing views. The staff were incredibly pleasant and helpful. Our room was super spacious with a balcony that had an amazing view. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean ...
A lovely property with lovely staff. As to be expected in Amalfi it is expensive but here even more so in recognition of its status. Beautiful terrace and the food is lovely. The only thing I would recommend to this lovely hotel is seeing if there is any option to have a different entrance/exit to ...
Favorite place of all the places we stayed on our Europe trip, a small family run place where they absolutely go above and beyond! You’ll see that if you read their reviews! The first thing they did when we arrived was take our bags up to our room and then sit down with us in the lobby offering us ...
The staff. All very nice and supportive especially I want to thank Fabrizio Viscido for all his help during our stay.
Suberb Hôtel! Location with stunning view. 5 star hotel without doubt. The night restaurant in that terrace could not be more pleasant, with magnificent dishes and well attended by the staff. Very recomendable!
