"Booked this trip last minute so could only get a standard room which was perfect for one person but note these rooms do not come with a view of the beach. Room was clean and on the top floor. Rooftop deck was perfect for watching the sunsets or just lounging. Hotel is a very short walk to the Malecon and safe for a solo traveler. The only downfall was not having a mini fridge in the room, something much needed when you want to keep cold drinks on hand. The staff at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful with recommendations on local places to eat, places to visit and transportation. Would definitely stay here again."

"Don’t listen to the reviews of the toxic, high maintenance kweens who complain about the Blue Chairs Resort! If you’re a down-to-earth person looking for a budget-friendly gay resort on the beach in Puerto Vallarta, the Blue Chairs Resort meets all needs and more. The staff are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The massage therapists are super professional and top-notch. I stayed in a Breezy Blue Jr. Suite and it was perfect for my needs. It had AC, a super comfortable bed, refrigerator, microwave, stove, dishes, closet, walk-in shower with hot water, a large balcony with a stunning ocean view, and other amenities. The pool on the first floor was excellent. The rooftop bar was fantastic and had amazing ocean views. The drag shows on the rooftop bar were also fun and entertaining. The resort elevators are new and work great. The stairwells are also perfectly fine (I rolled my eyes when I remembered a review comment about the stairwells being dirty and feeling unsafe to someone). The Blue Chairs Beach Club was where I spent most of my time relaxing in the blue chairs and being waited on by such friendly and helpful staff. The drink options were excellent too and they even had non-alcoholic beer. My only feedback would be to add some vegan options to the beach club food menu, but even that isn’t a big deal because there are such amazing vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants in town. All-in-all, I had an amazing time at the Blue Chairs Resort and I can’t wait to go back!"
