Top Amarillo Hotel Reviews

Hyatt Place Amarillo-West

Hyatt Place Amarillo-West

8/10 Good
"The drywall tape was coming off the ceiling and the bathroom had signs of water damage on the walls and the floor tile was cracked. Upon checking in they charged $150 for potential damage that you are supposed to get back if you don’t partake in breakfast (continental $8) and if you don’t damage the room. No microwave in room but there is one for use by the bar and they have a mini fridge in the room. It is near Cadillac ranch and shopping on the west side of town that appears to be growing and fairly new shopping centers. My visit was pleasant and the beds and pillows were comfortable and the room was spacious for a hotel. The morning staff were friendlier than the afternoon staff. They offer dinner from the bar but no one ever around to help you have to go to the front desk for assistance but I didn’t because the staff in the evening are not as friendly as the morning team and I can only imagine how the food would be after they hype up breakfast buffet style for a continental breakfast. The pool and gym are small so one family and you feel crowded. Overall it was a pleasant visit and for my needs I would stay again."
