This Grade II listed, 17th-century Lakeland cottage apartment is perfect for a relaxing stay at any time of year. It is nestled on a quiet lane in the conservation area of Ambleside, yet is only 200 metres from the shops, pubs and restaurants with an array of both easy and strenuous walks direct from the door.

    The apartment is located on the ground floor with many features, including original oak beams, a flagstone floor and an open, Lakeland fireplace which is central to the living area. In addition it offers many up to the minute facilities and home comforts, including large wrap around bath sheets and luxurious goose down duvet and pillows (non allergenic alternatives available). We had a fabulous short break in a very cozy cottage.

We had a fabulous short break in a very cozy cottage. It had everything we needed and was a good base for doing walks straight from the front door, with no need to take the car. With two lovely pubs very close by and the rest of the town only a few minutes walk away, there was plenty to do in the evening before returning to our lovely cottage and making the most of the log burner. We would definitely recommend this and would love to go back again.

A lovely stay for seven night in a cozy cottage, have stayed on Ambleside multiple occasions for the purpose of hiking and loved this cottage.One comment would be lacked some attention to detail in basic amenities that we had to purchase for a seven night stay such as washing powder, extra toilet roll and dishwasher tablets but not a problem reall...

This cottage is very characterfu, cosy and well equipped.

This cottage is very characterfu, cosy and well equipped. The location is very quiet yet just a short walk to all the amenities Ambleside has to offer. Points that I would note are, the parking permit that you get allows you to park for free in MOST of the car parks in Ambleside but at very busy periods it can be very difficult to find a space, and we found this made us feel very anxious about travelling around during the day. It would be good if the bath plug was fixed an upgrade on the TV would be good, other than that I would recommend a stay here.
