"Very dated room with gross shag carpet…and to top it off my husband had a huge roach in the shower the morning we left…we understand critters are somewhat uncontrollable things but just topped off our feeling of how old and dirty the room was….especially for the price. Only upside was hotel amenities. Checkin/out and everything on property besides the room was satisfactory."

"Nice breakfast, very good customer service (breakfast employees were great!), I think the hotel itself could be maintained a little better but overall nice, quiet, comfortable. Needed a tad more space in the suite (poor design). Water pressure was terrible and the shower nozzle needed replacing. I would return but a little disappointed in the cleanliness and upkeep for the price. Location was great, as well but beach access was further than we thought. "

"The location was convenient for most of what I wanted to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right on the beach, but due to that there were often people hanging out in the parking lot smoking near by etc... My room was fine; a bit awkward but fine for one person. The bathroom had many extras and storage which was nice. My windows faced the beach, but one whole side was blurred/smudged out I guess from being old. My room was near the elevator and it was very loud both nights. Sounded like many drunk people in the hallway. The breakfast and amenities were disappointing. The parking area was ok, but you are charged for it. I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else next time."

"There are two primary reasons I rated this property 3 out of 5 stars. The room and facilities were very nice. However, this is a Springhill Suites, not a Motel 6. I did not expect to hear my neighbors walking on the floor above me, nor did I expect to hear them using the bathroom. This is not what I expect from a well-respected, higher-end chain like Springhill Suites. The other reason I am not completely happy is the parking fees. I knew about the $15/day parking when I reserved the room, but to charge the full amount for the day you check in (which is late) and the day you check out (which is early) is unacceptable. When I see companies screwing their customers like this, I make a point of not returning."
