Family stay

We had a nice stay at the Teleport Hotel, we had to book last minute due to an issue with another hotel. The rooms were basic and the bathroom was across the hall. It was comfy and warm and very cheap compared to other hotels which were 3 times the price.

Simple and plain, gets the job done

Simple and plain hotel, did the job for us: Sleeping the day before and the day after a 4-day festival. Our shuttle bus went from Station Sloterdijk, so the location was handy.

I stayed at Hotel Teleport in Amsterdam, and overall it was an acceptable place to stay. The biggest highlight was the staff – they were excellent, very friendly, and always helpful whenever I needed something. The location is also convenient, about a 10-minute walk from the train/metro station, making it easy to get around the city. One thing to keep in mind is the city tax, which is not included in the booking price. You’ll need to pay this at reception when you check in. For my 5-night stay, I paid around €65 in city tax, so it’s good to budget for that in advance.

The stay was excellent. Could have used some upfront clarity on if there was continental breakfast and laundry on-site. Some sources online said yes but they do not offer it. Good budget stay very close to train station.

Liked the small kitchenette with kettle, larger mini-fridge, and microwave. Room was large and bed was comfy. Easy 5 minute walk from Sloterdijk station.

When we arrived (well before dark) there were rats running around the gazebo in the parking lot. The room did not have a washroom as advertised, and it had no windows. The room was dim, but with a flashlight we saw many bugs (spiders, and things in their webs) and evidence of carpet bugs. The room had a terrible smell and there was a urinal in the room, which had not been cleaned. The staff person at the door was professional. We did not stay due to the smell, the filth, and the lack of windows making the room dangerous. I requested a refund as the room was not as advertised but this was denied. Expedia was not able to help.
