Great location and on balance good value for very little cost
Staff friendly enough, room cleaned daily, shower and toilet in the hall in good order
No flexibility with check in times. Room tiny, no TV.
No bedside light
But for the price and location it was acceptable
What a great older hotel! The staff was so kind to put us in a high floor room, which in itself was a fun adventure to get to! It was cozy and comfortable and so quiet! I slept better than I had our whole trip. Small room at a great price perfectly situated between the central train station and Dam square- a comfortable walk everywhere we wanted to go. Check in and check out were friendly and efficient!

Great location! Small rooms and in a loud area but for the location and price it’s a good deal.

I didn’t like the bed bugs me & my partner was bitten everywhere was mention to the staff on reception location was excellent
Showers and washrooms outside the room. It is a dorm inside the city. Cheap and that is what you get for that price.
In all honesty; the Amsterdam Marathon was on and all hotel prices were incredibly inflated. You go for cheap, you ride it out.
Staff was great though

Budget Friendly and great location.
If you are looking for somewhere to stay on a budget. This is actually great. Really good location.
Ok cheap hotel, friendly reception staff, great location for the city & station.
Rooms not the best, very basic, lots of noise from outside. Very dark shower, light above sink didn’t work, minuscule towel provided, no tv. Get what you pay for I suppose, but adequate.

Cheap for its location.
The location of the hostel is cool, as Amsterdam is quite an expensive city. I really appreciated the cleanliness, especially in common facilities (it is so difficult to clean them sometimes). Maybe the toilets should be equiped with automatic lighters as they stayed frequently lit (this problem is less present with the shower room). The stairs are really dangerous, this is a real problem to treat and the hostel does not announce it is not accessible to disabled persons!
This so-called hotel was less than a hostel! No amenities at all! Only bunker beds were provided! Simply a fraudulent offering online! I demand a refund or compensation from you!
Comfortable and clean beds and close to the action and any transportation needs. Cute place but you definitely have to be flexible with what to expect. Sharp rising stairs, wobbly bannisters, no AC, noisy to the street, no TV or water kettle, no cups for drinks.
De room was small, poorly maintained, not clean and noisy. Beds and location (at the Damrak) are ok. Highly overpriced.

The location is awesome however the room is very small for amount of money paid for 3 nights. There is no lift so if you stayed on the 4th floor like me it’s almost like climbing
