Right near the Royal Palace and Madame Tussauds. Breakfast was very nice. Room was clean, if a bit small, especially toilet leg room. Small room so had to sit on bed to watch tv or relax.

Overall great stay in Amsterdam

The staff was great and the room was fine once AC got going. The bathroom was small and had body wash & hand soap only. Was good for a downtown hotel just older.

Basic but fine single room. Tea/coffee facilities. Friendly staff who offered me a hairdryer without me having to ask. Basic breakfast included. Handy having a restaurant on site which I utilized several nights. Room was on street side and was noisy but I hadn't researched the area well.

Great location - clean and functional

I stayed at the Doria with two friends - rooms are relatively small but are functional and clean. Hotel is relatively basic but the staff are friendly and helpful and the location is very convenient for the centre, but not right on top of the lively areas so we didn’t have any issues with noise. If you’re looking for a cost effective place to sleep in central Amsterdam I would recommend Doria.

This was my second time staying at the Hotel Doria which is an indication of how satisfied I was. The hotel is just off Dam Square so convenient for everything going on and easy to reach from Amsterdam Centraal Station. There are lots of places to eat nearby plus the restaurant attached to the hotel, discount too for hotel guests. The downside is a certain amount of noise outside which is still audible even when the double glazing was shut. I didn't find this too much of a problem however as things quietened down during the late evening. My room was small, a single, but clean and with a very efficient shower in the en suite. Coffee and tea were provided along with a small kettle and were very welcome. Breakfast was lovely, fresh, varied and there was plenty of it. Staff were unfailingly polite, helpful and friendly during my visit. I will return to this hotel again on the basis of my visit.

Hotel was nice. Beds comfy. Breakfast was very nice and plentiful. Room was small but met our needs. Shower leaked and hot pot to heat water leaked. Have to climb 10 stairs to get to hotel lobby. They will store your luggage if needed. Very busy area of city center.

Excellent location between DAM square and Red Light district…professional staff that assisted us getting room early to allow us quick recovery from time change/travel. Breakfast was great continental with fresh croissants…wow! We will stay again if return to Amsterdam. Thanks

perfect location, 5-min walk to subway station and Dam Square. Breakfast included and nice staff. But cleanliness certainly has big room to improve. We saw blood stains on linens and water on the floor of the restroom. Super tiny restroom that you can't put your legs,straight when sitting on the toilet.

Fine for a short stay

I stayed at Hotel Doria on a one night layover. The rooms are very small. Bed was comfy but soft. There was white stains on the green curtains that was off putting. No bath mat in the bathroom so I had to use a hand towel. The step down from shower to tile floor without a mat is dangerous. Included breakfast was great! Location is perfect, right in the action.

I should know better than to transit through Amsterdam on a weekend. It was adequate property, lovely staff, good location. Convenient to everything. Tram stop a block away. Clean. Expensive for what it is. Single bed (not a twin) tight quarters.

Excellent staff and breakfast. Good central location. My single room was small but clean and well kept. I was nervous when map indicated it was in the Red Light District but is not. It is in a great location.
