perfect location, 5-min walk to subway station and Dam Square. Breakfast included and nice staff. But cleanliness certainly has big room to improve. We saw blood stains on linens and water on the floor of the restroom. Super tiny restroom that you can't put your legs,straight when sitting on the toilet.

It worked
I should know better than to transit through Amsterdam on a weekend. It was adequate property, lovely staff, good location. Convenient to everything. Tram stop a block away. Clean. Expensive for what it is. Single bed (not a twin) tight quarters.

Excellent location between DAM square and Red Light district…professional staff that assisted us getting room early to allow us quick recovery from time change/travel. Breakfast was great continental with fresh croissants…wow! We will stay again if return to Amsterdam. Thanks

DO NOT STAY HERE. Tiny room. Slanted ceiling making it even smaller. Hallways all the way up to top floor smelt like pizza from restaurant below. Staff was rude at front desk.

Very friendly staff at this hotel which is full of character. I stayed for one night and am glad I chose the Hotel Doria as it was a friendly and safe place to stay as a woman on their own. I was close to everything I wanted to see in the city and had the benefit of a small but very clean room to return to in the evening. I stayed during the King’s Day celebrations so it was very lively outside, inside was a oasis of calm however. The breakfast was fresh and delicious and I thought very generous for what was described as a Continental breakfast with bread, pastries, meat and eggs, fruit, yogurts plus coffee or tea and fruit juice. An ideal place to stay for travellers wanting a more personal experience, I will certainly return if in Amsterdam again.

The bed appeared not to have had the linen changed. There was a depression in the diet as though someone had sat on the bed with dark particles visible. The sheet under the duvet looked slept on as it was wrinkled and unmade. The bathroom tap was rusted and door didn’t work properly.

Blast From The Past
I've stayed at this hotel a number of times. During this particular stay I had a few issues but I raised them with the staff immediately and whilst I was out they rectified the problems. The room was clean and I had my own bathroom. Unlike most places in Amsterdam the staircase to go to reception is not very steep and there aren't many steps. It's also very close to central station.

Very dirty entrance and stairs Room extremely tiny even for Amsterdam Wires and PowerPoints are big a big problem,., Cattle - it is there,but power point too far From it so you can not use it. I wonder Who designed the cheapest way… Floorboard are damaged,paint peeling Of the ceiling- over all very disappointing. However - bed as tiny as it was,was OK As well as the baby size pillow. Breakfast was reasonable. I would not go back there…just tooo many minuses…. Location is the only Draw card.And for the money better Accomodation can be found…easily…

Location is right next to the Dam Square, Red Light District and other shopping areas, not to mention 10 min walk from Cetraal Station. Staff were very friendly, especially Ruben & Nilo, always there with tips and guides. My only complain is, lack of airconditioning, middle of the summer it was hot hot hot...Otherwise, I will recommend this place to all my friends and I will stay there again. Geeva

Small and Dereclit entrance How could this hotel have 3 stars? Large stair bypassing reception and security with direct access to the street. The noise and tobacco smell would come up the stairs. The lift go only from floor 1 to 4. My room was on floor 5 I had to walk up 2 floors of stairs each time. Bathroom was so small you has to walk around the door to get in. Felt unsafe and unsecured the all time

Clean, safe and friendly right in the heart of Amsterdam. Fifteen minutes walk from the railway station and simple to find. Excellent staff who will give you as much help and advice as you want and more.

Amsterdam’s 1890 hotel.
This hotel is very convenient when it comes to location for people who want to be close to the city and attractions. However, the hotel is clearly overused, and VERY old. The lift/elevator is a little dangerous and archaic. You have to be careful with your hands not to be crushed by the elevator door. Hallways are VERY noisy, I understand is Amsterdam, but some people just don’t know how respect others. Breakfast it was JUST OK. Restaurant staff should be a little bit friendlier. Everything else was ok. Very nice staff at the front desk.

It was alright close to transportation. The room was clean but bed was very uncomfortable hard to sleep. Pillow was too soft and no headboard. Bathroom was very tiny. The staff was very nice, courteous and kind.

What I loved about the hotel Doria is its location! The hotel is situated in the historical centre of Amsterdam! Dam Square is just round the corner! It is a good start point for city exploring 😉 The hotel is clean, stuff on reception very nice and polite. The room was very tiny and had no mini-bar but you do not need any amenities if you are planning to be out all the time and use the room to sleep only. The breakfast was good. They serve coffee, tee and fresh orange juice; all the ingredients to make a nourishing sandwich; eggs, some fruites; muеsli. It is enough for a quick breakfast/bite. Very good for such type of the hotel. I can recommend the hotel to not demanding people who comes to ADAM for 1-2 nights and do not need all the amenities of a hotel except comfortable bed and great location!
