The staff are amazing and friendly from the moment you arrive till they see you off at the end of your stay. Nothing is too hard for them to organise either and you honestly can’t beat the location. You’re staying in a historic 300+ year old canal home and it’s very modern and well maintained inside. You get to experience what it feels like to live in the heart of Amsterdam, being amongst the canals, yet only a 10-15min walk from the main station/city centre/historic sites and shopping too. So glad I picked the Stanley collection hotel for our stay as I honestly could’ve spent all day in bed by the window watching the canal boats go by. Thankyou for having me and mom stay for the night before our river cruise, it was a great intro to beautiful Amsterdam.

This was a fun hotel to stay at. It’s in an old building which means the stairs all the way to the 4th floor were steep! They used a winch outside our canal view window to get our suitcases up to our room. I felt more comfortable walking down the stairs like it was a ladder. Twice during our stay I got downstairs and had to go back up to grab something I had forgotten. Buns of Steele! The room itself was not large but more than adequate for our stay. It had a bed, 2 chairs and a small table. We had lots of room for our suitcases and there were plenty of hooks to hang things on. The bathroom as well was small but had enough space for us for our 4 nights. The shower was nice and the water hot right away. It is a building with character and what we were looking for. We really enjoyed the experience. Lots of restaurants around. Easy access to public transit and easy to walk to the sites too. Not a good hotel if you have mobility issues or make sure you only have 1 flight of stairs to walk up.

Nice and clean in a perfect location

Nice, clean, simple room with a beautiful location right on the canal. Everything was clean and comfortable. I stayed on one of the top floors and the stairs are very steep, so be warned if you are carrying your luggage. I also found the room to be cold at night.

This hotel is the perfect location. Central to many sightseeing/museums/restaurants. Paolo was very professional. We love our time there and would come back for sure! Just be ready for the stairs ! lol But it’s all part of the experience when you are in Amsterdam!
