The hotel building was beautifully decorated and in good condition and clean. The staff were excellent; friendly yet professional and very helpful. The breakfast was well cooked and the menu was varied. The arrangement the hotel has with a local restaurant enables the hotel to provide an excellent lunch and dinner menu. Bar staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a great hotel in a superb location and I will be returning.

The pros: location is perfect, facing a canal and next to charming Jordaan and nice restaurants. Also less than 20 min walk from the centraal station. Some restaurants like La Perla (pizza), de Benhalmel (nice upscale), Long Pura (Indonesian), Anne Frank House and boat rides are all a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast opens at 7 and there’s a server who takes the order and brings the food. Not a buffet. Keep this in mind if you have an early morning activity, train to catch etc. allow some time. Breakfast has a variety of items like eggs, crepes, cheese and pastries.

We stayed in the deluxe double with a canal view and EVERYTHING about this hotel was wonderful. Huge staff shoutout to Stefano, he was amazing—he secured us last minute dinner reservations with prime seating—Max (Indonesian restaurant) is a must try. The lobby, the restaurant/bar, the vibe was old school Amsterdam but immaculately clean. I don’t know how this hotel gets anything but 5 star reviews. If you are hesitating about this hotel, book it!! You won’t be disappointed!!!

This hotel had everything: impeccably clean, authentic, modern, roomy lounge, helpful staff, and best of all - close to everything we wanted to walk to. I had the garden room with jacuzzi tub. I was in heaven. The tub was longer than me and fit two, thats a first for me. Ill be staying there again!
