The hotel was great, room was gorgeous but around midnight the club nearby was so loud it kept me up for hours, I should have been warned & offered a room that wouldn't be disturbed. There was also some screaming & shouting outside my room around 5/6am

The 'W' Amsterdam has a great vibe and a great layout. We stayed at the 'Bank' building and the room was quiet, spacious, the bathroom was equipped with a large opened garbage can and not a small non-useful one. This is definitely a hotel that I will be going to again

I was very impressed overall. The service was excellent and i was particularly happy with the service in the W lounge in both the daytime and evening. The staff are all super friendly and it was nice how the are very talkative and helpful, they was able to offer me a lot of advise on areas to explore in the City. The Away spa is amazing and again the staff working there are always so happy to help. I did also enjoy the complimentary flavored water options. But this is a must, its super relaxing and peaceful. The facilities are also super clean, the staff working in the spa are on top of everything. I ate at the MrPorter restaurant, it was amazing! Staff again was really helpful trying to find me the perfect steak and wine. The atmosphere is really cool and it attracts a very good crowd.

The hotel itself was fine. The lifts either didn’t work or took so long to reach any floor it become annoying. There was a awful smell in our room asked 3 times for someone to look at it and each time a new staff member was stood at reception who didn’t have any record of us asking to check the room so it never got sorted. Staff unfriendly seems annoyed when you went to reception to ask anything. For the money I paid it wasn’t worth it to be honest. Also the city tax isn’t included in your room charge so when you check out you get hit with €100 in tax.

I cannot express how hugely disappointed i am with this hotel. If i could give it a 0 rating, i would. After a long haul flight to Amsterdam to attend an event and a quick one night stay. I went to bed only to discover that the bed sheets were very dirty covered in body hair, skin and other unpleasantries . On the outset the bed looked newly made otherwise i would have alerted the hotel earlier at checkin. As it was very late and i had an early flight to catch the only thing the hotel could offer was change the sheets quickly and i was told by the manager it would be discussed and some sort of resolution/compensation would be communicated to me upon checkout. Because of this problem i was only able to sleep for 3 hours. At check out i was told i was awarded an additional 60 Marriott points and a complimentary taxi to the airport. Not only was i completely baffled by this and i am hugely insulted that the W Amsterdam thinks that this outcome is acceptable. The more i think about it, the angrier i am. I don’t even think i could buy a cup of coffee with 60 extra points. TBH I do not need the points nor am i looking for a freebie. I was hoping to stay at a nice clean hotel. Its the principal that they think 60 extra points and a taxi ride would be sufficient to make this situation acceptable. The hotel has not contacted me since. Not only have they lost a client, they have massively degraded their own brand. I will never stay at the W Amsterdam again.

You do not deserve even 3 stars!
Let me tell you about my satisfaction: - Check-in a disaster. - Booking the restaurant disaster - We had 2 courses and 2 operatives in more than 2 hours dinner - Room: --> Dirty --> Smelly shower --> Airconditioner works like a 19th-century train engine. We could not sleep On top of that, I specifically visited your welcome desk as well as reception. Tried to pay and specifically asked not to get any money from my wife. What happens, your system does not work and my wife is charged. You guys are miserable. I will never ever get in touch with W Hotels and never recommend your hotels, facilities as well your restaurants. 3 stars hotels are better than your facilities at least they deliver what you expect.

Every thin crevice in my room seemed to be filled with dust and dust balls. The walls in the two rooms I stayed in seem to have spots of yucky things stuck to them that no one ever seems to bother wipe down. These are a few of the many things that highlight the fall of what was probably a very cool hotel at some point. Maybe they don’t care because they make their money from the loud club that woke me up several times throughout the night. I checked out early even though I had prepaid and my reservation was nonreturnable.

Awful experience
Hugely disappointing experience all around. Hotel was dingy and dirty and the service was poor. The elevators were unclean with dirty cigarette stained rugs in them. There were scratches dents and stains in most surfaces all over the hotel. The service in the roof top lounge was terrible. Our orders were screwed up multiple times. We were promised complementary drinks the next night. When we went back the manager who promised the drinks had called in sick and we weren’t allowed in the lounge. We had to sit outside on dirty cigarette burned sofas at dirty cocktail tables. The bar was not making cocktails that night and served us un drinkable watered down warm vodka sodas (luckily, they did comp those). There was a party in the lounge that night and the music was so loud we could not sleep in our room three floors down. The doormen had trouble finding our bags when we left and one of them was rude and did not even make an effort to be helpful. They put a huge luggage sticker on one of our leather bags. Find another option when visiting Amsterdam.

I had wanted to stay here since it was finished a few years ago. There was confusion when I checked in as they said they couldnt find the reservation-even though I had a confirmation letter from the hotel. (it was there it was their system.) As it was highly rated and expensive, I expected the rooms to be perfect. The bathroom type layout is not user friendly, and the counter finishes were worn. The electronic drapes system didnt work, and there was no way to adjust the ac. So it really wasnt worth the price.

Great modern Property! Great location. Very nice rooftop bar (very fancy and you have to be dressed ‘stylish’). Our room was an interior room a bit tight, but very pretty, clean and modern! We will be back!

Radisoon blue is better than our W experience. Nothing about the hotel except location is good. The service is terrible had to carry our own suitcase to the room. Breakfast service was very bad. The Dutch diner was so bad a seabass took more than 1.30 min and came while having desert. The room IS not cosy and extremely cold. Best thing was the hot waTer in shower to keep you warm. Definitely not value for money.

Beautiful hotel! Loved the restaurant and bar and the spa! There was an instance of the gasket coming off my room door and another instance of power out in the room. They were quickly address by the service staff.
