"The property was in a quiet area with a beautiful view. The interior of the cabin was cozy and warm while the outside was winter winter. The isolated set of cabins are located near a pretty well equipped town, close to the Golden circle and all of its attractions, and far enough out that it gets nice and dark at night if you want to see the Northern lights. "We have been guests at the Afternoon Cottages twice. We stayed in #4 the first time and #5 the second time. They are mirror images of each other. Everything was clean and the location is perfect for seeing the Aurora as long as the sky is clear. Communication with the property manager was easy and effortless and on our first stay we even extended it by a day. I highly recommend the Afternoon Cottages."

"So this place was a good place to stay as we start our drive around the country. It's in the middle of nowhere (by beach though) but not scenic. The room is comfortable and clean. It's really quiet. The only downside is there was very limited hot water. My wife used it all up in a not very long shower. "

"Cute little cabin in a very quiet, remote location. Well-equipped but very small (there’s barely enough space to walk around the beds) so I wouldn’t recommend it for more than four people. Guests are supposed to clean before leaving but clearly, not everyone does and the bathroom was filthy when we arrived. Bad surprise! "

"Upon arrival, we were impressed by the beautiful landscapes. The cabin itself was clean and modern. From the central space, one window offered a view of Icelandic horses. The other was nearly floor to ceiling where we caught sight of the Northern Lights. Renate was quick to respond and help us when we reached out.
