"Hotel was easy to find , reception staff very helpful. First appearance as we walked into the hotel was everything looked so clean and inviting. Our room was clean , the bed was so comfortable, and pillows just right. My only criticism was I needed a plug near a mirror, to dry , and straighten my hair . Breakfast had plenty of choices and the staff were very good and helpful. We both enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying there again ."

"The room was in a poor condition, smelt damp, a little mouldy in the shower cubicle and paint falling of the walls. "

"First time I have stayed here. Very convenient for shops, pubs and other amenities. Hotel itself is ok. Friendly staff, decent size rooms, clean. Parking was adequate but awkward, especially if arriving later, as spaces are limited and very narrow. Although not my first choice of hotels in Notts, I would recommend bearing in mind the above."

"After getting checked in by a not very helpful member of staff and paying the car parking charge we made our way up to our room via the stairs as one of the lifts was out of service and was a big queue for the other one. We entered the tiny room that you get provided, checked out the bathroom and it was grim, full of mould looks like someone had peed in the shower and just generally untidy. Went back to reception lugging all our stuff back down the stairs to ask for a new room, was met with the same unhelpful staff member who didn’t even seem like she wanted to change our room until the other staff member stepped in and said to change the room. New room wasn’t the best either with some staining on the curtains which I don’t even want to think what it was and a shower which you had to turn off 4 times throughout the shower to let it drain, but we couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of going back down so put up with it. The rooms look very tired and are very small definitely not what you expect from a 4* hotel I assume they only get that rating from the rest of the facilities they provide? Went downstairs to grab our free drink we got given for the problem with the room to be met by a woman on the bar who clearly didn’t want to be in work that day with the reception we got from her! Next morning we got woke up by drums coming from downstairs not sure what was going on, but the rooms are no where near noise proof at all so I recommend bringing some earplugs."

"This hotel is very tired and dreary, the worst hotel we have ever stayed. Our own fault for trying to buy on the cheap - lesson learn't ! Only good point was its location I would not recommend this hotel under any circumstances "

"Host cancelled my booking last minute because they realised children were part of that booking which very unprofessional because when I searched for properties this one showed as suitable for children and family. Also nowhere on the description it said its not suitable for children. Only after they cancelled my booking they updated the description. Very cheeky and unprofessional behaviour because I only had a day left before my trip to find another property which difficult to find. Very bad host."
