The property is located in a very accessible area to all of Malaga. Unique features include the sleeping pods and the shower/bathroom(very trendy). WiFi connectivity is very fast and easy to access. The staff are all friendly and very helpful, especially Antonio, Alberto, Kevin and Jennifer. They went above and beyond. The remaining staff are also very friendly and helpful with any issues that you may encounter. They are constantly cleaning the floors and baseboards , run by the blonde “Captain”! Almost like being with friends and family. People from all over the world stay at this place so it’s not a boring place to be.

Nice, spacious and light flat with good noise reducing windows. Area is lively and full of restaurants, 20 mins to either st andres or malagueta beach. If you arrive later than 7pm it can be a faff- there is noone in attendance after 7pm and they won't release the entry codes until you have you paid, and I didnt find this out until the day I was travelling. But that was the only real problem in 4 days.

On arrival, airport conditioning and elevator were not working. As a 64 year old with arthritic ankles, I had to drag my heavy suitcase up 3 floors to my room. Air con was broken all night (as was elevator) so I sweated all night and got little sleep. Went out in morning (walking down and up stairs still to/from breakfast - great breakfast btw). Returned in the evening to be told it was fixed. But not in my room! Rude staff member insisted it was my fault for 'playing' with controls. It was eventually fixed but both AC and elevator were not working for short periods throughout my 7 day stay. In my room, one rail over the safe to hang clothes but NO cupboard space, so had to live out of a suitcase. Gap at bottom of bed so small it was necessary to climb over the bed to get to a mirror on the other side. Breakfast good. Most staff friendly except the guy I mentioned earlier. Clean and modern. Coffee in lobby from a machine but not in room. Fridge but full of stuff they want to sell you at high prices. Pool and solarium are great, despite what I have read in other reviews. Noise was not an issue for me, again despite other reviews, although I was at the back of the hotel - I can imagine that front of hotel is pretty noisy. Last moan - and I am disgusted by this: the first night, when I had to bake in the heat and couldn't use the elevator, I had a bottle of water from the fridge. They refused to let me have this for free as some sort of apology and charged me for it at the end!

Very convenient for Old town Malaga and easy to get to. Smooth online check-in process and a very nice, modern and clean room.

This was the perfect property in the perfect location! It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The Be Mate staff were brilliant, with great communications before and during our stay. They did everything possible to make our stay easy and comfortable and were on hand all the time to help with any queries. I can suggest no improvements (apart from perhaps a wardrobe / draws for clothes rather than an open hanging space) - but that is minor! Highly recommended for a perfect Malaga city break.
