"We got to hotel 3 hrs early and were hoping to just leave luggage until check in time, but were able to check in to room early. Had good priced drinks at bar that evening and also had a couple of pizzas were great for the price. Rooms were clean and comfortable breakfast was good value for money with a good enough spread. We stayed there just for one night on our way from Bruges to Paris and couldn’t get a better location literally across the road from the train station. "We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The hotel was nicely decorated, very clean and the staff was polite and helpful.
We loved that there were several options for breakfast: full continental breakfast at 16 euros, but also smaller options at 4.50 and 7 euros, which was ideal for us as we do not eat a lot in the morning.
There is a vending machine just by the lift, so we could get water.
The room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
Regarding the location, I won't lie, the surrounding area is not super nice, with rubbish on the street, however I won't let this affect my rating as it's not the hotel's fault and it's a bit like that everywhere in Brussels as soon as you leave the old town centre. However we felt safe and I wouldn't define the are dangerous at all.
Regarding the location, it was really good: 15 minutes walk from Midi Station (so you can easily travel to Bruges/Ghent which are cities I truly recommend!) and 12 minutes from the old town. There are also buses/trams 5-10 minutes away to the Parliament or the Atomium.
I would say, if I really have to suggest something extra that would have made our stay even better:
- It would be great to have a kettle in the room, just to be able to take a tea in the afternoon or before going to sleep.
- The check-in process took quite long, despite we were there at 3pm, the rooms were not ready and we had to wait about an hour. They offered us a drink during the waiting though.
