"Wonderful quiet location with views of the mountains! Owner and staff were gracious and helpful. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of food. Good place to base yourself out of to explore the area, including the ruins at Paestum. "

"A pretty amazing place. Looks very luxurious, the restaurant and the meal was super fancy and yet very reasonably priced. We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

"I was looking for an authentic place to stay in Muro Lucano and Nonna's was it! You can walk to many places but know that there are many steps and hills. Grocery store a minute walk down the street. "

"My great grandfather was born in the very small town of Aquara and, in planning our trip from the USA to Italy, we were looking for a peaceful, welcoming spot to stay while we paid a short visit to the city. The staff was terrifically accommodating and the property was beautiful. There is a restaurant, small bar and pool on site as well as short walking trail, hammocks and, since they are up on a hill, beautiful views of the valley below Aquara. "

"If you want a true Italian family experience then a stay at BnB La Mortella is the answer. We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. The BnB was a bit hard to find but once we were there it was worth seeking. Antonio and his family also work the land with citrus and olive groves dominating the landscape. "Inizio col descrivere l'Hoste: persona gentile e molto disponibile. La struttura: centrale, sulla piazza di Laviano (borghetto piccolissimo e isolato), pulito, nuovo, munito di ogni comfort. E' presente uno spazio comune dove c'è una cucina fornita di tutto il necessario per la prima colazione e poi ci sono le singole stanze, ognuna con bagno privato. Per chi dovesse pernottare in questo paese la consiglio senza dubbio."
