Tucked away at the top of long private driveway lies Barleycombe, an idyllic Victorian Hunting Lodge overlooking the edge of Mendip Hills. With wonderful views across the hills and valleys beyond this fabulous property sleeps up to ten guests in five bedrooms. Set in over three acres Barleycombe has plenty of outdoor space and is surrounded by rolling farmland that include public footpaths and bridleways for walkers to explore. The house offers five generous double bedrooms, two with en-suite, along with two other bathrooms and is set over two floors with glorious views over the gardens and beyond. It also offers a wealth of versatile living space on the ground floor comprising a well-equipped kitchen, separate utility and drying room, dining room and breakfast room with two downstairs toilets. There is a living room with Smart TV as well as a larger games room with Smart TV and Bluetooth speakers. If you fancy reading a book choose one from the library/reading room. Within the grounds an enclosed courtyard can be found off the breakfast room, there is a level lawn to host your own garden party or just a game of hide and seek in the gardens and private woodland.Barleycombe is ideal base for a relaxing holiday, walking or for touring the surrounding area. You will find Cheddar Gorge, Blagdon Lake with trout fishing, a wealth of wildlife, and golf all nearby. The World Heritage city of Bath, and the cathedral city of Wells are all within driving distance, and Weston-Super-Mare’s many attractions and sandy beach can be reached within 5 miles.Please note: There are open, steep, spiral or narrow stairs at the property.
