Byemills is a great place to stay.we had such a restful and pleasant stay. Our hosts were brilliant and when there was a brief region wide power cut they were straight to us to ensure we had everything we needed. Easy walking distance to local pubs and a great historical stone circle at Stanton Drew. We loved our stay and made all the more special with it being Christmas.
This was our first experience in a shepherds hut and it didn’t disappoint. All you need for a peaceful break, with the use of a hot tub, fire pit and BBQ it was perfect. We had a lovely visit from the owners dog (Tara) at the BBQ time which was nice, we thought she might of wanted more than pat and a stroke. The light around the garden in front of the hut was a nice touch especially when the evening comes.
just had a lovely relaxing peaceful 2 night stay and its exactly as advertised, short walk through the fields towards the viaduct is friendly pub with good food, Bath just a short 30 min drive away and the Hot tub was amazing especially at night in the light up garden. Only word of warning is the bed is not suited to tall people, I'm 6ft 1 and had to sleep at angle as the bed is wall to wall and my legs were too long. I'd definitely recommend.
The Hut was everything we thought it would be, very clean and all the facilities you need for a mini break away. The hot tub was so nice to get into after a long day walking around Bath, really peaceful.
Very warm and cosy cabin with soft fairy lights in the garden so it was nice and cosy in the dark! The hot tub was lovely and we were supplied with flip flops and robes for getting to and from the hot-tub which was lovely considering it was chilly outside! :) very beautiful views and lovely walks!
The views were amazing and the cabin was ideal. We used the jaccuzi and looked over the fields it was the perfect 2 days away ! Ann was very helpful and informing would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful, cosy shepherds hut with gorgeous views and a friendly welcome from the owner.Inside the hut, the comfy bed had fresh, crisp, white linen. The underfloor heating was good, and kept the hut at a constant temperature. There is a log burner for extra heat, which we lit, and it didnt take long for the heat to make it feel extra cosy.
Lovely clean shepherds hut in a beautiful location.
Great walks in all directions with pubs along the way with lovely scenery.
Could have easily stayed longer
We had a wonderful, peaceful weekend in the Shepherd's hut at Bye Mills Farm. Everything was clean, welcoming and comfortable.
We went on some beautiful scenic walks and took Anne's advice about places to eat and visit - spot on.
Will definitely be back.
Wonderful stay in Bye Mills Shepherds Hut, where everything was perfect. The owners made us feel very welcome. Lazing in the hot-tub was the ultimate in relaxation. Super comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Perfect spot and accommodation for our weekend away. Beautiful countryside, easy riverside walk to local pubs, plus the shepherds hut was gorgeous. Sitting in the hot tub enjoying the sounds of the birds and lambs was the icing on the cake. I just wish we had booked for longer
We have just come back from the most amazing couple nights away in this most amazing shepherds hut.
Can not fault the hut or the facilities inside, all was amazing. Hot tub in the evening then in the hut to warm back up by a real fire 😍.
Location was great for trips out to Bath and a lovely day in Cheddar Gorge.
Anne was Brill and told us all we needed to know including a great place to eat 'the Druids' where we had the best stake n ale pie ever 😋. 💗
My husband and I stayed in this idyllic Shephards hut whilst on a trip to look after our Grandchild during the day time . After running around after a 4 year old all day , it was a welcome sanctuary to come home to this beautiful dwelling with its lovely fairy lights and delightfully warm hot tub to recharge our worn out bodies for the next days shenanigans . Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer and have a few days for ourselves to explore the beautiful surroundings . We will definitely be back .
It wasn't as private as advertised as you are on the edge of the owners property/driveway. Somethings advertised either didn't work or weren't supplied. Check in/out times are very early and late bearing in mind the nightly rate.
However it is a very warm and comfortable hut but weather dependant as no outside cover which would have enabled us to sit outside in inclement weather.
Loved our short break, just what we needed, enjoyed the hot tub and barbecue on the fire pit. Only a couple of little things I would suggest, the stairs leading up to hut could do with rails as I have short legs and I tripped once while taking bags into the hut. Luckily only squished the bread in the bag. Otherwise very enjoyable, thanks. Terry and Angela.
Had a wonderful 3 night stay in the Shepherds hut. Everything we needed was available. Very comfortable and cosy. Hot tub was to die for. Loved every minute of our stay.
