Bagni di Lucca Holidays

We booked a quadruple room for 2 nights. When we arrived the young girl at the front desk checked us in and handed us the key. She didn't seem to speak any language, Italian or English! When we got to the room it had ONE bed! When we got back to the reception a guy told us that the shower is broken in the quadruple room and they are giving us the single room and another one for 3 people. Long story short we ended up separated into 2 rooms.... the windows were barely closing, shower was the smallest I have seen and the closet door is rubbing off the floor. The only good thing about the rooms was the location.

Room was clean and bed was comfortable however windows weren't soundproof. Location is fantastic. Fire alarm went off multiple times during my stay including once in the middle of the night. Breakfast was very basic.

Our stay at Splendide Riviera in Rapallo was exceptional. The hotel is impeccably clean (cleaner than most 5 star hotels in the area), beautifully maintained, and reflects great pride in every detail. Knowing Ernest Hemingway stayed here while writing Cat in the Rain adds a unique historical touch. A perfect blend of historic charm, elegance, outstanding service, and a prime waterfront location. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rapallo.
