"The property and villa was beautiful. Quite property. The villa was updated and spacious with beautiful views. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Ourdoor patio and balcony had comfortable furniture to enjoy the scenery/nature. One of our favorite memories was getting madsages on our balcony during sunset. Easy booking through the resort for all activities and massages. The secluded beach has beautiful black sand and we got to see howler monkeys while we were enjoying a day on the beach. "
Exceptional 5-Bedroom Retreat in Ocotal: Unparalleled Views and Sunsets

"We just returned from 8 nights at Villa Allamanda from June 4 - June 12, 2025. The house is as beautiful in person as the gorgeous pictures online. The view is spectacular, and we got up at sunrise every morning to watch for wildlife and listen to the birds and howler monkeys. The pool and hot tub were well-maintained and made us feel like we had our own private resort. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed so we could cook breakfast each morning and the occasional lunch or dinner. Playa Ocotal was the closest beach at only a 5 minute drive down the hill and very easy to get to from the house. The sand is mostly black with some tan mixed in, and the water was crystal clear and the perfect temperature. We snorkeled most days by the rocks on both sides of the beach and saw a huge variety of colorful fish, so bring your gear if you like to snorkel. There are foldable lawn chairs (not reclining), a cooler and a few sand toys at the house. There are 2 blue foam pool floats that you can lay on in the pool but no noodles or inflatable tubes, so you might consider bringing some or buying them nearby in Coco. There are plenty of every type of towel. Each bathroom has shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hand soap, and a hair dryer. Showers are hot with great water pressure. A few of the beds are very firm. The road to the house is very steep, curvy, & narrow, so small 4WD SUV is best to rent. Lissa with Zindis was wonderful and so helpful. Ready to return! Pura Vida! "
Ocotal Beach House - Family Friendly & Only a Block To The Beach!

"Great location and access to beach area. The condo pool is nice, but could use daily skimming. Father Roosters is a fun spot for dinner, but expensive. The condo fit our group of 1 couple, 1 single adult, and two teen children perfectly. It is clean, quiet, and well furnished. There was an issue with a AC and a routine water pump fix while we were staying and the management communicated these issues promptly.A few cons: in one upstairs bathroom the faucet was so loose my husband had to repair it on the first day. The toilet paper holder was broken and we had to use electrical tape to make it function. Each bathroom had 1 roll of toilet paper and there are no toiletries available for use. The biggest surprise was the beach club was not available for our use even though it was advertised as an amenity. I checked the listing prior to writing this review and it is still being advertised. We were denied access and after reaching out to management I was told I could put the weekly charge for use on my credit card and I would be reimbursed. This may not work for everyone and was an inconvenience "
