"Great stay with a few helpful tips for future guests!We loved our stay here! The location is excellent—close enough to the gate and down the hill so that we didn't need a golf cart (though if you stay higher up the hill, you'd definitely want one). The place was very clean, had tons of clothing storage, and the pool was fantastic. Plus, everyone we encountered was super friendly!A couple of quick things for future travelers to note:Layout: The kitchen and one of the bedrooms are on the third floor, so if stairs are difficult for you, this might not be the right fit.Water Temp: The water temperature in a couple of the bathrooms wasn't great, though the primary bathroom (where I stayed) was absolutely perfect.Pro-Tip: We found out on our last day that the grocery store closest to the gate on the right is the most expensive one around—wish we had known that sooner, so shop around!Overall, a wonderful place to stay and we highly recommend it! and we would stay here again."

"Our group of 14 said this was the best trips we've ever had as a family, if not the best! When my husband and I travel solo, we enjoy resorts with exceptional service- such as Rosewood or the Four Seasons- and Villa Buena Onda exceeded our expectations. In a private rental you usually don't get the same level of service as you do at a resort (nor do I expect it). However, Villa Buena Onda provides a full service experienceFrom before booking to check out, Charlie was amazing! He replied promptly with detail to my questions (I had a lot)On a day to day basis, we had Samuel, Ashley &Nela on staff. Nela made delicious meals every day and was so sweet to make a cake for one of our guest's birthday. Ashley & Samuel took care of anything we needed during the day. A few went deep sea fishing. Samuel offered to clean the fish and then staff prepared it for lunch for us (even though we did not have lunch included in our meal plan- more on that later- and expected to clean the fish ourselves).The villa was gorgeous. Rooms were comfortable & well stocked.The grounds and outdoor setup provide your own private oasis. The covered lounge area with fans made it pleasant to sit outside all day by the pool. The spa is a nice touch and recommended. I recommend adding the full bar to the meal plan. We opted NOT to do it because there were a couple people in our group who don't drink, but in hindsight it would have been easier and well worth it. I highly recommend Villa Buena Onda!"

"The property was beautiful and well layed out for access to the pools and ammenities, gated and 24 hour access by friendly staff as we were out on many adventures. Location was execllent for the various tours we booked, driving time was 1 hour and 30 minutes to furthest waterfall adventure tour. We also visited hot springs, rafting, horse back riding, jungle hikes on the volcanoe, a snorkelling cruise from Tamarindo, many beaches and we ate at different locations. each day. The unit we stayed in was very spacious, great layout with three large rooms, two bathrooms, large living and dining area, balcony and a full kitchen with dishes and accessories for every kind of meal you could plan. The host and property manager were kind and responsive and check in was easy. No concerns whatsoever and my family and I would stay here again in a heart beat. Very happy with our stay and advanetures in Playa Del Coco."
