Pretty disappointed by this stay. Room did not feel very clean, the bathroom had a sewage smell, the bed was made with a sheet that seemed too small, leaving part of the mattress exposed. We were given little vouchers for the coffee pods (which gave the two of us 4 total pods for our 3 night stay), which just made the entire experience feel like they provided the bare minimum for what was a pretty expensive price. Why even have a nice coffee machine if they don’t want to provide enough coffee? I was just really disappointed by this hotel, but I also must mention the positives, which were the friendly staff and excellent location.

Pros: great location, large spacious rooms newly renovated and staff very friendly and helpful.
Cons: very noisy location with many bars in the area playing music loud in to til 3am on Fri and the weekends. Breakfast was good, continental but was always late setting up. Stayed 9 days but had to pay 20 pounds per hour just for 2hr late check out I thought that was very lousey.

"Many rooms are dated with holes in the walls and water marks. Yes, it's an old hotel, but a reno is seriously needed. My room actually had a standing lamp shade covering the ceiling light... odd. "The Pearle Oban is right in the heart of the city...beautiful view overlooking the water. Accessible to all sights by walking and plenty of restaurants in the area.
