"The resort is beautiful and peaceful. Views of the bay are spectacular and the staff was happy to assist with any needs or requests. The pool, hot tub and sauna were very nice amenities after a long day of exploring Vancouver Island. We had a great time."

"Fabulous!We absolutely loved our stay at this lovely cottage. The owners Pinder and Greg are so kind and helpful.The cottage was spotlessly clean. Very comfortable king size bed and stylish midcentury bedroom. Huge closet, two bathrooms. and a very comfortable sitting area with windows all around giving you views of the garden.There is a large skylight and windows all around so it is very bright. As well, we only used the A/C twice for a short time, but it worked perfectly.The hosts provided tea, coffee, a kettle, coffee maker, sugar... all things we used. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed to cook supper, hold our groceries, and make our lunches for the day.The Garden is spectacular. While sitting on the bench swing in the evening reading a book, a hummingbird buzzed by. The views of the sun setting from the bedroom are spectacular. The location is quiet and peaceful. For hikers check out John Dean Park, Jocelyn Hill, and Mount Douglas, and Tod Inlet.We brought our Oru Kayaks, and loved going out in the evening to kayak. Greg took us down to their stairs and showed us how to access the inlet. We are beginner kayakers and the water in the inlet was calm and safe. We saw a seal and two otters on a nearby dock, a seal in the water, many moon jellyfish and a couple friend egg jellyfish, and kingfishers swooping down and fishing right in front of us on the water. We would love to return one day and highly recommend staying here!"

"We had a lovely time during our stay at Mill Bay. The unit is comfortable and it was conveniently located for our purposes. It has a beautiful backyard with a covered patio and a fire pit, and we enjoyed sitting out there. There is dedicated parking, and although the driveway is a bit hard to find at night, Mill Bay Road isn't very busy and it worked out fine.The unit is well set up, with good little kitchen and dining areas, a comfortable bed and plumbing that works well. Our host was friendly and welcoming. There were no major downsides to the place; the shower could use some kind of shelf, and as mentioned in the description, access in the dark getting around down to the back of the house was a bit tricky, but our phones' flashlights helped, so it all worked out. All in all, a good place!"

"The location was incredible, and staying on a houseboat was such a unique and memorable way to experience the area. Judy and Johan were wonderful hosts who went above and beyond to help us enjoy everything the site had to offer. We loved kayaking, paddleboarding, crabbing, and taking the dinghy to explore nearby beaches. There were plenty of opportunities to explore or just relax. One of the highlights of our stay was when Johan took us by boat to the marina side of Butchart Gardens for an evening concert. It felt like our own secret entrance. Judy and Johan thought of every detail…even providing blankets for the cool moonlit boat ride back after the concert. One thing to note is that parking is at a different marina than the houseboat, so it's worth packing with the short boat transfer in mind. The ride to the houseboat is beautiful - we just would have packed a little differently had we known in advance. Our group, including my teenage twins, my parents, and friend, is always up for an adventure, and we had a wonderful time. It was a one-of-a-kind stay, and we would highly recommend it."
