"Very comfortable king bed! Excellent cleaning standards, and the large tub filled very quickly. Everything functioned as expected, and the views from the upstairs guest rooms are expansive, featuring the marina and Saanich Inlet views beyond the lush garden and pool area.
The pub was great, and obviously very popular with the community, as well as hotel guests, featuring a wide range of very tasty dishes on a menu that changes regularly. Breakfast in the Arbutus Room offered great choices and an inspiring view. Dinner in the Arbutus room was delicious, and Adriano the sommelier enhanced our meal with some excellent and affordable wine options.
The marina services are well-rounded. We took a couples boat tour, and our guide Archie was superb. The water shuttle to Butchart Gardens is a great way to access this outstanding historical site. We saw many SUP and kayak paddlers leaving from the marina. It's a great place to paddle, with calm water and plenty of sites.
The spa services are well-organized. The spa lounge offers a spot to relax by a fireplace or on the deck of the pool area, which is lovely. The couples massage was excellent.
If you're looking for a getaway venue that offers all of the above in one location, this is it. Very personable staff. We'll return someday. "

"The owners went over and above all expectations. The property was clean and tidy and also offered outside dining facilities. Inside was well appointed, with all amenities. Fantastic shower, kitchen, lounge and bedroom.
Fantastic pub/bar 200metres down the road with amazing food.
We cannot rate this place high enough. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit Victoria.

"This property was perfect for our family gathering! There were three couples and a 9-month-old baby. Spotlessly clean, well appointed, very comfortable home. The pool was prepared for us, and the weather was perfect for using it, but we gravitated to the hot tub. The patios were spacious and comfortable. We felt like we were in a very private setting — but town and amenities were only 10-15 minutes away. The host was super attentive and very quick to respond! If we ever plan a return trip to British Columbia, we’ll be back here!"

"Great place to stay. Our pups had a difficult time, there was no grassy areas, and tree sap (pitch) on walkway was quite messy. Maybe consider putting up an A frame "
"Barry’s handcrafted retreat, The Feather, is truly a hidden gem perched high atop a hill, with breathtaking panoramic views stretching from the highlands all the way to the Olympic Mountains. Waking up eye-level with swallows and eagles, or winding down in the spectacular tub set against honestly the best view on Vancouver island, made each moment feel uniquely special.Every detail of the space felt intentional: the kitchen was perfectly equipped, the bed wonderfully comfortable, and the atmosphere serene. Barry himself was the ideal host, warm, welcoming, and genuinely proud of the remarkable home he built. Staying was a privilege.The Feather stands out as an experience truly, and literally, above the rest. Thanks, Barry and fam!"

"My wife and I, her four sisters and their husbands enjoyed this beautiful property for a week. It is stunningly beautiful, with large, open floor plan living areas, all looking directly out on the water. The master suite is outstanding and the other four bedrooms, while more normal sized, are quite nice. Everything is in like-new condition. The furnishings are modern and elegant, but very comfortable. The kitchen is spacious and thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need to prepare and serve about any meal imaginable. We are a group that usually likes to go out and explore just about every day, but with the beauty and luxury of this home (including a full gym that is the most well-equipped home gym I've ever seen, a boat dock, extensive decking, gas firepit and hot tub), we decided to "stay home" on three days and just enjoy being in such a great environment. For the days we did go out, Victoria is just a 30 minute drive, even with traffic, and the airport is a mere 10 minute drive. This property gets our highest possible rating and we'll be talking about it for years to come. Don't miss out on this experience."
