Stop over Basel
We needed a stop over from a long drive home. This was ideal for a bed and shower. Very clean, quiet and comfortable. The only issue was self checkin which didn't work and we had to walk to the next hotel to gain the access codes to the rooms.

High-value clean hotel convenient to the Basel Bad train station (but not the SBB station). Check in was a block away at a different hotel. Our room was on floor 3 which, in Switzerland, means up three flights of stairs. There is no elevator. So, a little inconvenient. The room was small, but we were expecting that. It was very clean and comfortable. Overall an excellent value given the price for one night in the center of Basel.

It's all about communication. I arrived on a Sunday late afternoon, there was no reception. I had to figure out that I needed to self check-in on the kiosk outside under the rain! There's no elevator, the room has no AC, no desk, and the bathroom is really tiny! There is no breakfast, no coffee machine in the room, and no info on where I could get breakfast. A true let down overall!

It was very noisy from the street and the beds were very uncomfortable. The location was central. The room and linens were clean and the receptionist were helpful. Not planning on returning due to the condition of the lumpy beds. Good WiFi.

Better instructions as to how to use kiosk and the code would be appreciated. It was not clear that the code was for the front door AND the room door.

Did the job; not the best or worst
This hotel did the job for my two night stay in Basel. Not far from the city center, tram 14/the orange line is literally RIGHT outside of the hotel. Surrounding streets could be questionable in the late hours, but otherwise is fine and not far from the city center at all. They have a friendly front desk, but are not they 24/7. Also, they don’t make the room - so beware of that and your own cleanliness. Worked fine, would stay again if necessary, but could have clearer front desk options/cleaning services.

Repeat stay for business
No frills stay which was fine for a business trip. Very economical considering it is in Basel. I’d stay there again.

O.K. for overnight- enroute stay.
This is a very basic hotel. It was fine for our over-night stay, but the room was tiny, bathroom very compact, etc. Longer than one day would have been claustrophobic.

Very small but clean
This is a step above a youth hostel since there is a very small private bath, and the room was very small but was clean. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly, and helpful. The price seems really high for what you get (in the US a tiny room like this would probably cost $30-$40/night), but everything in Switzerland is expensive and space is a premium. Also there is no A/C, but this also seems normal for the region.

Hotel stay at the easyhotel
We noticed the floors were not very clean when we had to wipe up some spilt water. There was only a bed and very small side table. No dresser, table, chair, drinking glasses, closet, alarm clock and safe in the room. The bathroom was very small. The area is close to a conference centre so transportation is excellent. A bonus to staying in any hotel in Switzerland is the bus pass they provide during the stay. Every hotel charges a city tax but provides the hotel guest with this pass which is good on most local means of transportation.

Good for a short visit...we stayed only one night before our flight from Basel. There isn't a elevator so that can be tough with heavy baggage, and there isn't an AC. Otherwise, rooms are clean and functional

Rundown hostel, not value for money
This hotel is one of the cheaper ones in Basel. For the money they charge it is not good value for money. The hotel needs a good renovation and looks like has not been decorated for a good few years. The curtains were dirty, there is not service during your stay so the room does not get cleaned, towels are not changed, bed sheets are not changed. On good side, the room was warm but I woke everyday at 4 because the heating pipes would start to bang as they got hot. In summer if you get a front room it can be terrible as there is not AC and the main road is outside. As, someone said before, this is like a hostel but still not value for money.

Was fine. Nothing fancy but effective and comfortable. Make using transit easy
