Our stay at the Novotel was perfect for the last stage of a 3 week adventure. The reception staff were welcoming, helpful and informative. We were given a complimentary drink, complimentary tickets for a boat cruise and they helped with tour/attraction bookings! We had a great stay!!

Excellent location, very close to the train station and public transport links to take you to Paris landmarks. Parking is available at the hotel although we parked at nearby underground car park. Great location near Eiffel Tower, 30 minutes walk, great bakery nearby. Rooms are rather small but still comfortable for 2 days. But with family of 4 you can’t leave your suitcase open as there is no space. Great service by staff!

Staff were very friendly both at check in/out and at breakfast. Breakfast was good. Bed quite hard so not a great sleep plus only one pillow each. Shower cubicle very mouldy and could do with some maintenance but the rest of the room ok. Was around 45 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower.

The hotel is in need of some upgrading especially the lobby and hallways. The lock on the doors got stuck and we were told to jiggle it until it opens which can be frustrating after trying several times. In our room there was a loud clanking noise on and off, although we complained to wasn’t taken care of. The breakfast was not worth the money. No hot food. It’s an area where you can walk to the restaurants, beach, pier, shopping, and promenade. It was very safe and the staff were very nice.

Convenient for Montparnasse

The hotel is close to the Gare de Montparnasse, but is slightly uphill. The room was typical of these chain hotels with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is on the small side with a separate toilet (which I personally don’t like). After a confusion about the set-up of a 3 bed arrangement, we had a pleasant stay. The staff are friendly on the whole. It is a good standard of hotel, if a bit average.

Overall, Novotel was a good hotel. The staff were excellent – professional, welcoming, and attentive. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, and the location was very convenient, especially with easy access to public transportation. That said, the cleanliness of the rooms needs improvement. The bathroom showers had visible black mold, which suggests an underlying issue that hasn’t been addressed for some time. Additionally, the carpets in the rooms were dirty. While carpet can add comfort, I don’t think it’s practical in high-traffic hotel areas since it becomes dirty quickly and is difficult to maintain. If the hotel can address these cleanliness concerns, it would significantly elevate the overall guest experience.
