Parish Church of St John the Baptist - Bere Regis. It has Pre-Conquest origins, but was largely rebuilt in the C12, and further enlarged during the C13 - C16. It was restored c.1875 by G.E. Street. Justifiably famed for its mock hammer-beamed late C15 nave roof, with its braced tie beams incorporating figures of the apostles 924309.

Bere Regis: parish church of St. John the Baptist A very pretty church on the outside, with its 16th-century flint and stone chequered tower. However, its most remarkable feature is the wooden roof, for which we must venture inside: 456583

The whole experience was wonderful. The pool, although cold was well used, followed by a dip in the hot tub. The little private pub was a hit, along with the games room. A beautiful venue for special ocasions. Comfortable rooms, lovely grounds and helpful hosts. Altogether amazing.
