Starwood Capital hotels in Birmingham, England

"We had a Family room as there were 4 of us. Room was perfect for what we needed. However, checking in was a struggle. Whoever I had at the desk was very distant focus wise when we approached. On my booking, their checking in police was stated as: - Check-in time starts at 3:00 PM - Check-in time ends at midnight - Minimum check-in age is: 18. I approached the small desk with my booking number (the email confirmation) at the desk. The very half arsed guy asked for ID, which wasn't a requirement. I've been to many hotels prior and have never been asked that. He made it difficult trying to say I need proof of ID, which I never carry a wallet. He then asked if I had a photo of ID, which is wrong even if asking for ID. Now despite this I was happy we had our room as this was for a 30th Birthday Celebration in BHam, but it ended up not being the end of this. Said guy that sorted our digital keys set them up to expire a day earlier than we were supposed to leave. Shout out to the other receptionist James, he sorted out our keys and realised the other dopey guy made an mistake. Genuinely had a good experience with him and made me feel welcomed."

"The hotel is really beautiful, we stayed for 3 nights and arrived 6 hours before check in so they let us leave our luggage there. We cannot praise the staff enough, they were so professional, very attentive and always happy to help. The selection at breakfast was excellent, so you could have something different everyday and we ate in the restaurant on one of the nights, the food was delicious and although slightly high in price, it was totally worth it. We would definitely stay here again."

"If i had to round it up into two words it would be Great Value Nothing really bad to say about this hotel its got great facilities with the gym and spa the food was great both the food we got at the bar and the breakfast and all great value would really recommend the food here. As for staff they were all really nice and friendly any isues and they were resolved straight away. The location is unbeatable if you are visiting the NEC and Resorts world definitely the hotel of choice for my party next time we visit the area"
