The Hotel at Cape Ann Marina

"Staff was friendly and welcoming....food was great, location was great. Only bad issue was the pillows kinda sucked. We were not comfortable with them or the bed at all...and OMG, the a/c was extremely loud! To be honest, in my opinion, being at a marina where there are hundreds of expensive boats and people with $$, I assumed the room would be a bit more on the higher end of the scale for the price. While the room was clean, the plastic/rubber molding that made up the baseboards were all coming off and around the mirror the same plastic/rubber frame was falling off. The sink faucet was loose and wobbly as was the toilet handle to flush. Kinda weird and kinda cheap. Lots of little flies in the room too. We managed to get rid of them all but I guess that is to be expected on the water. And then there was the loud person above us, sounding like they were rearranging furniture at 3 or 5am, every day, then again at 7am - they slammed something so hard the ceiling light shook! We did yell up to them to knock it off, but it didn't make a difference, they did it anyway, every day. Probably should have complained to the front desk, but didn't want to start a fight. We have stayed at nicer, quieter places for less money. But, overall, it was a good stay."

"This property was amazing! Bob was an excellent host! He was very quick to respond to any questions we had. The house had everything we needed which was wonderful! It was fully equipped! The location was perfect....right on the water with amazing beach views and beautiful sunrises and sunsets! We used everything Bob had from beach towels to floats and kayaks. We will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Bob!"

"This was the perfect weekend getaway. It was in a great location away from the busy section, with everything we needed to get to a 6-10 minute drive away. The outdoor space with views of the marsh and river was spectacular. Not as many bugs as I would have expected but recommend bug repellent for early morning and evening hours. We did not need to communicate with the host about anything since there were no issues but their process was seamless and efficient,"

"Came up for a wedding in Gloucester, so Essex was a perfect place to stay. The whole unit was very clean and spacious. Had a full kitchen and full size fridge which was very helpful. Check-in was very easy and check out too. The unit is connected to another unit so you could hear others but nothing out of the ordinary! Enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if back in the area!"

"We enjoyed our stay. Check-in was very smooth and the host (Kelly) was readily available to answer our questions throughout the stay. The house is expansive, the living room is comfy and the outdoor table under the pergola is serene. The outdoor gas grill was great for barbecuing. We would recommend this place for anyone looking for a welcoming stay in Gloucester."
