The breakfast was stated as buffet but actually wasn’t the food was on show so u could pick what you wanted but it was served to you, the reason I chose to pay for breakfast at the hotel was so I could pick my own but saying that the food was nice, the rooms need a good clean, although the bedding was clean and comfy beds, I had to move the bed to look for a plug socket, wish I hadn’t, thick with dust and the dressing table very sticky and stained.

The Lyndene is very well run. The reception area is welcoming and the staff very friendly. I didn't eat there so I am unable to comment, but they have entertainment nightly and it was satisfactory for people on holiday. It is an old building with old fashioned decor but very clean. I was in a room on the ground floor which unfortunately was noisy because the floor above had rather heavy people in it who sounded like a herd of elephants night and day as the floors creaked so much.I didn't sleep very well as they also went to the toilet several times each night and flushed the toilet each time which echoed down the pipers. But for value for money it was reasonable and as I was only there for two nights I didn't ask to be moved.

Pleasant bookin in,,room ok but a bit dated,,didnt realise till we got bk at half 10 from being somewhere room was right above stage so a bit noisy so didnt get much sleep,,will remember nxt time not a room above front concert room
