Ok for some
I arrived at the property and check in was very smooth. The gentleman was really helpful and gave me all the information I needed to be able to check in. I’ve got to be honest I wasn’t happy about paying 40 pounds deposit on my card. Some people have not got that kind of money to be able to pay that on Checkin , which makes it very difficult. When I go to the room everything was very clean which I was very happy with the bedding was lovely and clean toilet and shower as I am 6 foot four unfortunately I couldn’t use the shower so I had to have an all over wash you can’t adjust the top to be able to do this if you’re tall . The bed slats and the mattress with springy so I didn’t have a very good night sleep unfortunately I’m nearly 20 stone and the bed was not suitable for someone that is quite large. I had a at the property there is no choice of cereals you’ll get one glass of juice and you have to make your own tea and coffee, you also have to make your own toast and butter is so hard is really hard to spread. The breakfast is brought out to you which is one sausage no choice of egg you have to have scrambled and you have mushrooms. The breakfast itself wasn’t too bad I would’ve liked more on my plate for 8 pound I must admit , the main question is would I stop again on this particular occasion with this experience I wouldn’t be back

Kyle the manager was exceptional very caring and great st his job..a good all rounder .The single bed mattress i slept on was the worst sleep ive ever experienced springs digging into my back i slept on the floor most of the night,Kyle gfitted me duvet over the matress but i was quite shocked to see the state of the mattress stains of bodily fluids all over it was ver discusting, not wanting to make a fuss i said nothbut i could see that Kyle was embarred at the filty matress..I was feeling dirty all night thinking of the stains and how un healthy that this was ,ive seen betyer matresses skipped ..I cant fault kyle i hope he moves on to better managment duties in his future for a decent hotel hes a very good person who i hope does well ,all in all mixed feelings i would not recomend this establishment thats run on a shoe string !!!!!!.Stay away i still feel dirty even after a shower.

Great Hotel
We had a great stay at the woodland. Room was spacious, well-equipped and clean. Great location and very close to the centre of Blackpool. We were made to feel very welcome by the host :)

The room was really tiny and the shower was difficult to get into. The mattress was too small for the bed frame and there was a 6 inch gap. The shelves were wobbly and the paint was scratched off the chest of draws. The room was very noisy and we ended up calling the police at 3am due to a disturbance across the road at another hotel. Was booked for 3 nights but only stayed 1.

Had a wonderful stay at the property for 4 nights. Saqib the host was super warm and welcoming and we were well looked after. The room was clean and tidy and the necessary facilities were all there including a travel cot and bedding which was great. I’d definitely recommend staying here. It was a 10 min walk away from the major attractions such as sea life and the dungeons so it was a great location and the price was good. We’ll definitely be staying here again in the future

Good host, worst room!!
The host was brilliant very informative and friendly, sweet home however there was black mold/damp on the window cil and blinds above the bed!!! the covers felt like they were wet from the moisture in the air and surrounding damp, i have asthma an other health conditions i have been in hospital after sleeping in damp/ black mold conditions..... the tv didnt work and was wired up loosely to the wall (not electricly safe), the shower preasure was next to nothing but a decent, clean bathroom over all

Stopped for a 3 nights 29 dec to 1st jan excellent for the price you pay,The owner is very accommodating and informitive ,we was in room 10, my partner She struggled to get up the stairs, so we was moved into room 2 the next day, yes you pay the £40 pound deposit, i payed cash, no problem getting the money back THANKS FOR A LOVELY STAY ALL THE BEST FOR 2023 BEST REGARDS FROM IAN

The host was wonderful, couldn't do enough for us. The location is fine, less than a 10 minute walk to the promenade. The room was as to be expected for Blackpool, a bit like a student house with very mismatched furniture and worse for wear carpets and wallpaper, but was all clean and the beds were comfortable.

Nice budget hotel
Host was very nice and accommodating! Room was small but was all we needed and includes own bathroom. Was 10 minute walk to the tower. Only issue was the shower wasnt great and had to pull pipe away from wall to get power but host did mention this the morning after our first nights stay. Would definitely stay again

The visit was first class, originally on the 2nd floor but the manager changed it to a lower floor once he knew i was disabled. I did not ask for this, but was very greatful that he offered us this. At no extra charge. Clean, comfortable, central and very accommodating. Recommend that you try this establishment. Will definitely 💯 % stay at the Woodland again. Thank you the the Manager and staff

Lied about free parking and caused lots of unnecessary stress. The host said he isn't part of hotels.com so anything stated on the website including free parking isn't true. There were no tea and coffee facilities in the room, just a kettle. Also, during our two night stay, the room wasn't cleaned at all, neither were the bed sheets changed. The room was very dusty which made us struggle to breathe. The host was rarely on site despite telling us he worked all day everyday and was hard to reach when you needed to talk to him, ignoring calls and messages. The water pressure in the shower was like a trickle when running so was unable to have a proper wash for the entire stay.

Dear Guest, You were provided with free parking for the duration of your two day stay so we do not understand what caused you unnecessary stress. Tea and coffee were provided in the room if you needed the supplies to be replenished the staff is always one call away. As you might be aware there is a worldwide pandemic due to which social distancing especially in public areas like hotels needs to be practiced which is why the staff is not always in front of you but as you are told at the time of check in, you can call us for any services required. We have reviewed the shower and water pressure in the ensuite that you stayed in and it is perfectly fine and we have never received a complaint over it before. However, if you did feel the pressure was inadequate, again, we were just a call away. The facility is a three star hotel so daily change of sheets can not be accommodated within the budget of what you were charged for the stay.

The hotel beds were comfortable ,but the room had peeling wallpaper. It wasn’t the cleanest, needed dusting, the tea and coffee area was dirty,with dirty cups, so couldn’t use that. It’s ok if you just want a bed for the night, but wouldn’t stay any longer.

Absolutely amazing value in a well kept location. The room is compact and is not to everyone's taste, however, it was clean and more than adequately appointed. I would have no hesitation in staying again. Please be aware that parking is first come, first served.
