Lochside Cottage With Sea Views

8/10 Good
"Very comfortable, spacious and clean. Lovely scenic outlook over Davaar Island and over to Arran, which changes by the hour.Good sized rooms, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen. Plenty of games, books etc for when the weather isn't playing ball. Good off-road parking spaces for 2 cars, (3 at a push)Nice clear advice on using the hob, microwave, washing machine etc, as well as comprehensive suggestions for places to visit and where to eat.Overall we really enjoyed our few days in the cottage."

"Our second stay at The House at Glenbarr, which is a little gem and well worth a visit and/or stay. Boutique style rooms and a residents lounge with kitchen to enable self catering. If booking The Hayloft, it’s a suite with its own kitchen. On site there’s a general store, and lovely gift shop, cafe and garden centre. Staff all very helpful and it’s the hub of the wee community of Glenbarr, which is slightly inland hence no sea view."

"The property was clean,, quaint, and charming. The restaurant was delicious! I had dinner and breakfast the next morning. It was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had or should I say that I’ve had in Scotland so far. The staff was amazing! Carolyn went above, beyond and out of her way to make sure I was well taken care of, and I greatly appreciate it. The Royal Hotel is lucky to have her."

"The hotel was nice. The food at the Brassels was better than the Cruzerie (?). The hotel was pet friendly. The rooms were a great size and comfortable. Unfortunately, we couldn't do much as you have to book everything in advance. We were not aware that you had to plan ahead."
