"Our room was immaculate and fresh and extremely comfortable The staff were very helpful and very pleasant. the dining room was beautiful with a sea view from all tables it has been newly renovated with lounge seating area adjacent to it. Food and drinks were excellent and good choice on the menu this is a beautiful hotel with a unique setting and gardens leading down to the sea"

"Fabulous place to stay. Bedrooms very high standard. Breakfast pre ordered and delivered to your room at the requested time. You can change your choice each day but we kept it the same. Staff were very friendly and checked with us that everything was ok and did we need anything more. If we are this way again I will definitely book this again. Parking was easy as the main street has loads of parking."

"Loved this YHA. Wonderful location couldn't ask for better view. Right next to Lochranza castle which is a must. The YHA was what a YHA should be. Good community feel, nice eating area, bedding and towels provided. We had an en suite. The YHA ws expectionally quiet at night considering how busy it was. Very helpful staff. A lounge and designated working area Place for boots, great kitchen and facilities and laundry area. Absolutely loved it."

"Lovely overnight stay b&b . Included was 90mins in gym + 90mins in pool area. It was a beautiful day so we used outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Good breakfast choice. We were a bit disappointed with the evening restaurant menu so ate elsewhere."

Anchor Hotel

"The Anchor was a convenient stay for us as we needed to be close to the ferry to take us to Isla. The staff were very pleasant and check-in was easy. Parking was across the street and convenient as well. The rooms are very small and dated but clean and comfortable. There is a pub next door and many people were enjoying the World Cup so it got pretty noisy but we were able to sleep. We had a fabulous dinner in the Anchor's restaurant. I have a shellfish allergy and they were able to accommodate. Tarbert is a wee fishing town so there isn't much going on but we enjoyed walking around and climbed the hill to see the old castle which gave spectacular views. We wandered in a few shops and had nice chats with everyone. Breakfast was spectacular and we left for Isla well rested and ready for our journey. Thank you!"

"This was the perfect base for our group of 6 friends to explore Bute. Host’s communication was proactive and clear, check-in really smooth and the property as expected. We loved the sea view from the living room. We’d be back again without hesitation!"
