I was able to eat a wonderful selection of sugarless, vegan foods, including sugarless soy milk, whole grain breads, muesli etc and of course, coffee; for the all you can eat breakfast buffet. It's really tough to find enough sugarless vegan foods to eat while traveling. So I really appreciate it. Of course, they have abundant foods for the sugarholics and meat heads too

Clean and very comfortable room. A bit outside the city center, but the Bolzano card included in your booking gives you access to the robust bus system in the city. We also used it to visit the archaeology museum!

This was a great stay for our family of four adults. The breakfast was good. I recommend getting there early as there is more to choose from the earlier you go. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The location was a 15 minute walk from the center of town, but there is a bus stop a few steps from the hotel.

Clean amd comfortable. Be sure to get the Bzano card for free from the front desk for free transportation and entry to sites. We got it after we already walked to town and back before checkin so we didnt use it.

This property offers a free Bolzano card with stay, which offers free regional transit & museums, including the fantastic gondola ride up to Superbolzano. It also provides comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast for 10 euros per person. It also provides free city bikes upon request, useful as the hotel is far from the center of Bolzano. It is about 10 euros by tax from the train station to the hotel. But the hotel is in a lovely neighborhood itself. We enjoyed our stay.

Pleasant surprise
Hotel Gries was a very pleasant surprise. Looking for somewhere to stay on our way through, this hotels location, cleanliness and comfort was outstanding. The secure parking was also a great surprise. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful Town
Hotel is very nice. Room was good sized and had a Balcony to sit out. Fridge and seating area that converts to bed for kid. Big shower, nice bathroom. Parking at Hotel is free.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Bolzano was an unexpected destination as my husband was in the hospital, but the city had a lot to offer which made my stay easier. The only difficulty I encountered was with WiFi as the connection was poor. This resulted in the need to make several international calls to my husband’s employer regarding his medical leave, etc.

Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast. We also very much liked the section of Bolzano where the hotel was situated. It was in a charming section of town, a little over a kilometre from the centre of the city. It took us around 20 minutes to walk to the centre of town, however, there was also a regular local bus.

Did the Job
Was a last minute choice, as I needed somewhere to stay. A bit far from the town centre, but a very nice hotel, with staff to match. Underground parking for the bike :) Room a fair size, well organized and clean. Supper is for only a short time, so make sure you get in the time-slot. Staff were able to suggest a nearby pizza parlour, but I had pizza-Fridays for many a year. Watch out in the shower. It has a (brand new?) porcelain base, that will become slippery. OK if you stand still. Wifi was unsecured, though required a login.

Town of surprises
Bolzano was a good stop in our Dolomite driving tour to use as a base and recharge. Only to find there was a very lovely old town to explore and dine out plus close to fabulous wine country and mountain explorations

Clean convenient hotel
Very nice hotel- about a 15-20 min walk from the main downtown area of Bolzano. Rooms were clean and had nice beds/showers. Staff was very kind and allowed me to park our somewhat oversized van in the surface area usually reserved for large buses as it may not have fit in their underground parking area. The only downside was I left my toiletries in the room. They did e-mail about this which was great but didn't want to mail/fedex them to me at the next hotel I was staying at or send them back to my home in the USA due to cost (even though I was willing to pay).

We enjoyed our stay as the hotel is ideal for families with kids. The rooms are very spacious and clean. Staff very helpful. We always managed to find parking right in front of hotel although they have their own parking.

Convenient base to explore lovely Bolzano
Everything was good apart from one plumbing issue which required a room change which was sorted with a minimum of fuss. Breakfast was sufficient to start the day off well. All staff encountered were freindly and helpful. It's a good 25mins walk into centre of town but buses run every 10mins from stops 50yds from hotel. Getting one of the fee car park spots outside the hotel could be an issue but we just managed it each day.

Clean but deceptive pictures .....
Pleasant front desk staff, very helpful, though their English was limited as is my Italian/German. The picture on Hotels.com are deceptive. The rooms are tiny, the hotel is behind the facade advertised on-line in a different building. I felt a bit deceived by the pictures - rooms looked larger and newer on-line. We had two rooms, one with a bad air-condition; however they did give us a new room. The rooms were spotless but the common areas smelled of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was very good but dining room staff was not particularly friendly. The location is fine for trips to/from the mountains and the price was reasonable. Average property.

Great stay at Post Gries
The saty at hotel Post Gries was great. The hotel is located within 10 minutes of walking from the historic center. The rooms are totally new and super-clean with fresh and modern design. The staff was lovely and very helpful.

About 20 minutes walk from city center. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby & great town for sightseeing. Dolomites is close and drive able. Supermarket across the street.

The hotel is about 4 km from the railway station, a 20 minute walk to city center. The room did not have a coffee set up that is commonly found elsewhere and to facial tissues not provided. On a slightly expensive side ($125/day) considering the location

Clean, comfortable hotel close to old city
With a family of 4 and I was concerned about having enough room but...all was great. The rooms were bright, clean and our room had a balcony. Be sure to inquire about West or East facing for the balcony as the heat can be intense in Italy later in the day.

Well-kept, clean hotel
Small, comfortable, clean, affordable room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The outside balcony with our room was nice too. It's a little off the beaten track for those walking from the train station, but doable.
