We got engaged in Boscastle at the start of July and so this hotel will always be special, but it’s special regardless. Beautiful building, exceptional food, lovely pub atmosphere, helpful staff. We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade and the room was beautiful - huge bed, lovely en suite and high-beamed ceilings. The breakfast is included and it’s exceptional - best scrambled eggs I’ve had in years. Couldn’t rate more highly!
This is a very old property datibg back several centuries...but the atmosphere is very therapeutic and charming. My wife and I felt comfortable in the room and enjoyed the full English breakfasts along with orher tasty dining options in the on-site Pub. Ww qull definitely retrn here.
We had a wonderful stay at The Wellington. The staff were incredibly kind, and couldn’t do enough for us. The food at breakfast was great and the evening meal was excellent, too.
it was one of the best stays ever! the hotel is set in a fantastic magical little village and the energy is so good and cosy there that you’ll never want to leave. the hotel itself is very beautifully build and rich in history, it definitely added to the magical atmosphere of boscastle. i would stay here again and again and again!
Wonderful feeling of history throughout the building. Outstanding restaurant food. Fantastic hard working staff.Amazing location. Easy parking. Great value if visiting this time of year.
We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel which i understand has recently been refurbished. Taylor greeted us upon attival and took us to our lovely clean rooms, with a huge comfy kingsize bed.He explained about breakfast, evening meals and late access, also how the minibar operated and our 2 complimentary Korev beers!
Breakfast was delicious and many options for vegetarian or vegan.
We didnt eat at the hotel in the evening as we felt the vegetarian options were limited.
All in all we would highly recommended staying and we will definitely return.

The staff made this stay. We enjoyed the breakfasts and the choice. Food was lovely. Room was spacious, bathroom was spacious. An old hotel but it had character. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The downer was not being able to initially park as the car park was full of other dining only guests, which made lugging the bags from the car park in Boscastle in pouring rain not much fun.
Myself and a work colleague stayed in the hotel for three nights.
We had a very special request for charging our work vehicle and they were more than accommodating with this.
From the start the staff were friendly and very approachable, for the first two mornings we were unable to attend breakfast as we had to be on the road by 7:30 am, so they made us up sausage sandwiches up the night before so we could have them in the morning.
I have given the hotel a 4 for cleanliness and condition and I totally understand that this is down to the age of the building as I appreciate it is very hard to maintain and keep clean.
The whole stay was brilliant and we cannot thank the staff for their cooperation and helpfulness.
I would recommend this hotel to any one who was staying in the area.

A disappointing experience. Having reserved a premium ‘Turret’ room we quickly discovered the heating was not working - and on a freezing night. The staff must have known this - and ours was not the only room affected. Two mini plug in radiators were supplied but they were not fit for purpose in what was a large room.
The management could give no guarantee when the problem would be fixed: we were left with no practical option but to cut short our stay and find alternative accommodation.
We secured a refund for what would have been our second night but no other compensation was offered.
Our main course at dinner was good though the soup had little taste. Breakfast was perfectly acceptable - aside from the terrible instant taste coffee.
This Victorian hotel is perfectly placed for coastal walks and Boscastle harbour but it needs better management and fresh investment
The hotel is in walking distance of Boscastle shops and sea. The hotel is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and decor stylish. We had a very enjoyable stay and the beds are so comfy!
