"The hotel is new, so very clean and nice. There do seem to be some things that still need correcting. The cold water in the bathroom sink barely trickled on and we felt the beds seemed uncomfortable. Otherwise, the facilities are very good, with a clean pool, well equipped fitness center and a moderate breakfast buffet (no hot foods)."

"We stayed 3 nights. The Staff cleaned the room the 2nd night we were there, but completely forgot the 1st night walked into an unmade bed and unemptied trash. The air conditioner was extremely loud my husband told me it was broke and couldn't be controlled from the outside of the unit. Breakfast was ok. Other than that it was what I would have expected from a Hampton Inn."

"Awesome get away!! The landscape was beautiful and serene, as the fish swam and the herons flew, which created an awesome environment. The home was clean and spacious, opportunities to spend time in the sunroom, on the porch or the yard to relax. Errilyn was extremely responsive and helpful leading up to the retreat. Was inquired about the property by other attendees and we are looking to reserve again in the near future."

"Our weekend getaway was great in this beautiful cabin on a rural property. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. There were games as well as a record player with a good selection of vinyls to listen too. It was so peaceful and restful. We saw deer, boars, and an owl on the property. We walked on their boardwalk down to the river which was so peaceful and serene. We enjoyed the fire pit at night. We thought about kayaking the next day (which they offer) but went to Jekyll island and stayed the day there instead. The hosts were very responsive to any questions we had. The only issue we had was the dirt roads driving in/out (approx. 2 miles to cabin) in a 2-wheel sedan. My husband said it was like driving on a snowy highway, especially during the rain. However, next time we visit, we’ll be in vehicle with 4-wheel drive. But we definitely highly recommend this cabin/property."

"A no frills hotel. People are very friendly. Hotel is quiet at night. I needed some work done on my truck at the Petro. The hotel is next door. It's not bad but I wouldn't think a person that has high(er) expectations would find it agreeable. The price is affordable and the hotel reflects a more common sense approach as opposed to the more extravagant choices in town."
Railroad Retreat by the Lake

"We were absolutely delighted with our stay. The cottage was clean and stocked with all the kitchen and bath stuff we could possibly need. The cottage decor is very homey and comfortable as can be. The grounds are gorgeous. The lake and dock are the highlight of the property and they also have turkeys, ducks, chickens and rabbits. We're nature lovers and felt right at home. We did not hardly see the Raulersons and we had our privacy to the degree that we never even met them, although I would have liked to. If we are in the area again we plan to return. Thank you, Raulersons, for everything."
