"My son and I very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lombardy during our quick spring break trip to beautiful Washington DC. Great location close to all that you'd want to see and a few very good restaurants as well. Hotel Lombardy has old world charm as mentioned in other reviews, but the amenities are up to par with clean rooms, bright and updated bathrooms, incredibly plush and comfortable beds and a delicious little restaurant at which we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast one morning. Daily complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch and the staff was lovely. The little kitcheny area was nice for a bit of extra space. Small issue, but I did find the hallways/corridors way too dark and given the on site restaurant there was always a strong food smell in the entry/lobby area..but small complaints to be sure given our overall stay.Thank you!"

"A great location for families visiting the city. Room is set up great, but showing signs of needing a deep clean (cracks and crevices) but otherwise good… I’m picky. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, staff is working super hard, but again, all around the omelette station things need a deep clean. Dust is really collecting in lights, rails and fans. Management just needs to “look up”. Those are the things you notice while standing in line. We would stay again but hope these little things get attention soon. Felt extremely safe walking to and from this hotel after dark. The city feels clean and is looking good! Had a great week in DC!"

"The place is beautiful and spacious. The rooms are carpeted and clean. There were small amenities of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and hand soap available. No bathing soap was in the bathroom. The room had a mini fridge, tv, safe box, and desk. At night, my husband and I found it hard to sleep. There were vents above the head of the bed, and we heard mice running back and forth at night. Once checking in, I was told I would be charged a $160 fee for the restaurant and if we don't use up $160 at the hotel's restaurant, then I would be reimbursed after the stay is over in a few days. We had breakfast once at the restaurant inside the hotel and our waiter did ask us if we needed anything and also if we wanted more coffee and we said yes to coffee and we also requested ketchup. However he never brought it. He asked the right questions, but wouldnt follow through with requests nor refills. Overall the place is beautiful and it is convenient that there is a restaurant at the hotel, but it can use some improvement. "
